Pursue Through Prayer (Genesis 24)
Pursue Through Prayer (Genesis 24)
Prayer for His Son’s Spouse (vs.3-4)
Parents, you need to be praying for your children’s spouse now while they’re young and not when they get engaged. Once they fall in love, it’s hard for the prayer to work.
Prayer for a Specific Spouse (vs.12-14)
Not every Christian man/woman is who you need to marry. Make a list of what you want in a spouse and ask God to give you those exact qualities in that spouse!

Prowl The Prospect (vs.23-25)
Get to know who your potential spouse is. You should try and know EVERYHING YOU CAN about them.
Prowl The Parents (vs.29-33)
One thing is for sure, if the prospects parents doesn’t think they’re ready, they’ll let you know. If they’re is something wrong with the prospect, they’ll be sure to let you know.
Prowl Anyone Particular (vs.29,59,61)
You can get to know the prospect through the prospect themselves, their family, but also anyone that knows them. (They may know some things that momma and daddy don’t know)
Ask the brother, sister, the one that cares for them, their friends, their coworkers. ASK ANYONE THAT KNOWS THE PROSPECT TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE PROSPECT. KNOW AS MUCH AS YOU CAN BEFORE YOU MARRY THEM!
A lot think that marrying someone will change them. DON’T FALL FOR IT. You marry who you know and see.

The Canaanites were pagans, and Abraham didn’t want Isaac to be unequally yoked. HE WENT WITH THE WORD OF GOD.
2 Corinthians 6:14–15 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?”
Proverbs 31:10, Woman
1 Timothy 3, A Man like Christ
If you find someone who doesn’t go with Scripture, they’re not for you.
If you find someone who doesn’t love God as much as you, they’re not for you.
If you find someone who doesn’t believe like you, they’re not for you.
