Be Transformed

Romans 12:1–2 NKJV

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

God does not change

Malachi 3:6 NKJV

“For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

Hebrews 13:8 NKJV

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

God changes us

While in prayer, I prayed, “Lord, change the church!” The Lord responded, “I will change the church by changing you.”

2 Corinthians 3:17–18 NKJV

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Ephesians 4:23 NKJV

and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

Transformation (Metamorphosis): Caterpillar, Chrysalis, Butterfly

Response to the Word

We cannot change ourselves.

We are not to change for change sake.

We are not to change to conform to this world.

We are not to change to conform to men.

We cannot change ourselves.

Only God can change us.

He will change us through the new birth.

He will change us through renewing our minds with the Word of God.

He will change us through spending time in His presence.
