What is God’s Motivation?

There are two categories of motivation:
Fear and Love
Father is motivated by Love.
3-15-25 by Jonathan Hanson
“I am providing a way where there was no way. I am providing leaders where needed, and I have plans for you to succeed, and you will succeed. Stay the course and watch my hands work it out. My hand is on your healing and walking people through these challenges they face. I am a faithful Father, and I will provide for my children. Watch and see me work it all out for good. Take this time to get strong and to be healed. Take this time to continue to learn My story and the stories I have put in you. Release what I put in you and watch my hands provide more than enough. Trust Me and I will prove to you I am a loving Father. My love is the building block of what you’re seeking. My love will firm that foundation and make you strong and unmovable. It is My love for you that will remove all fear of loss and pain to be in awe of Me. Receive My love now, and it will be more than enough.”
Born to be Loved.
Romans 8
A big portion of Romans 8 is about being loved by God, and what being loved by Him will transform in your life.
There are many benefits to the fear of the Lord.
But the fear of the Lord in not a commodity of heaven to be sold to those who want it.
The fear of the Lord is birthed in love.
Because He first loved us.
The awe of God is the love of God.
Awe of God
Romans 8:14–15 NASB95
14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
Trade our Fear of Pain for Fear of the Lord.
Understanding the Fear of the Lord requires a knowing of your smallness and at the same time knowing how much Father loves you.
Two World Views
There are two world views in the bible. The entire narrative of the flows in and out of them with intent of God to bring us to His world view.
Empire or Shalom
Compared to each other:
Separated World View Connected World View
Fear of Suffering Fear of the Lord
Not Enough Enough
Independent Interdependent
Certainty Mystery
Perfection Fallibility
Self centered Jesus centered
Seeking love and meaning From being loved
Job Joy
One is motivated by the fear of suffering
The other is motived by His loving Us.
The fear of the Lord is what motives sons and daughters from love.
If you are not feeling the Love of God it may be because you are not walking in obedience.
When you are in love you take action the shows love.
When you are in love with God you obey His commands.
You obey His commands because that is the desire of your heart more than any other desire.
The awe of God is the love of God.
Romans 8:18–25 NASB95
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. 24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
Romans 8:28 NASB95
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:37–39 NASB95
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Proverbs 3:6 NASB95
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
3-29-25 by Jonathan Hanson
“Let it be. Let it be. Let it be. Many things appear to be coming against you or your plans, but I have already spoken, and My plan will be fulfilled. It is by My hand that all things have come to be, and it is by my words that all things have been created. Trust My hands and My words in your life. I spoke and moved on your behalf, and My will is now coming to pass. I desire the hearts of man to know Me and to experience My powerful love. It is now time to watch and see My love do its powerful work in the fields of man’s hearts. It is time for the blocks and barricades to be utterly destroyed by my hands. It is time for the building of structures and habits through My words of love in your lives. See what I am doing and trust what I am saying. Even now, I am supernaturally rewiring the paths in your minds to flow in sync with the streams I placed in your hearts. There has been a war to mislead the paths of your mind into nothing, into darkness, but I heard your hearts cry. I have come to answer the longings of your hearts, and I have the solutions to the inner desires I have placed in you. My hand is at work, and My words are living water to the growing abyss within. Let Me in. Let Me in. Let Me in. You are about to see My powerful love change it all. Let Me be. Let Me be. Let Me be.”
Closing:
Father is motivated by Love.
He is inviting us to be motivated by His love for us.
Its Father’s love for us that is our true motivation.
In knowing He loves us nothing can separate us from Him.
Not even suffering or the fear of suffering.
Dwell on His Love for you:
Activation:
Prophecy over people.
Activation:
What do You wanting to say to me today?
Write down what He says back to you.
Go back to what He has said to you, and let His words bring love and life to your spirit.
1 John 2:14NASB95
14 I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
John 15:7NASB95
7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
