Session 5 — The False Prophet and the One World Religion

Main Text:
Revelation 13:11 KJV 1900
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Introduction:

If the Antichrist is the political and military arm of Satan’s final kingdom, then the False Prophet is the spiritual voice. He appears harmless, even Christ-like—“like a lamb”—but speaks the doctrine of demons. This beast from the earth isn’t just religious—it is deceptively spiritual, paving the way for the masses to worship the Antichrist and receive the mark.
Tonight we’ll identify the emerging one world religion, the role of the False Prophet, and how the spirit of religious compromise is preparing the world for the great deception.

I. Two Horns Like a Lamb: A Counterfeit Christ

Revelation 13:11 introduces a second beast, “from the earth.” Unlike the first beast (Antichrist), who is aggressive and blasphemous, this one is more subtle—he mimics the lamb (a clear reference to Christ), but speaks like the dragon (Satan).

Key Characteristics:

Two horns – symbolic of power or authority, but without crowns (he does not rule politically)
Like a lamb – gentle, religious, peaceful in appearance
Speaks as a dragon – his words are deceptive, inspired by Satan
He is the ultimate false prophet, deceiving the world through a global religious movement that looks righteous but denies the truth.
This beast represents apostate religion—a church without the cross, worship without repentance, and unity without truth.

II. The Role of the False Prophet

According to Revelation 13:12–15, the second beast (the False Prophet):
Exercises all the power of the first beast before him
He works on behalf of the Antichrist
Uses spiritual authority to enforce political loyalty
2. Causes the earth to worship the first beast
Promotes a universal religion centered on the Antichrist
Leads multitudes into spiritual adultery
3. Performs great signs and miracles
Calls down fire from heaven (counterfeit Pentecost)
Creates an “image of the beast” that speaks
4. Deceives through signs and wonders
Just like Pharaoh’s magicians, or 2 Thessalonians 2:9–10
“Whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders…”
5. Enforces worship and issues death sentences
Those who refuse to worship the beast are killed (Rev. 13:15)
This religious figure will appear like a holy man, but in truth, he is the mouthpiece of Satan, calling the world to worship the counterfeit messiah.

III. The Rise of One World Religion

We are already seeing the foundations of this false religious system:

1. Ecumenical Movements

Calls for unity between all religions: Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, etc.
The Vatican’s interfaith summits, the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi, and various “faith for climate” initiatives are examples
Scripture is watered down for the sake of inclusion
Jesus is being reduced to “a way” instead of “THE way.”

2. Progressive Christianity

Accepts sin in the name of love
Embraces culture instead of confronting it
Denies the authority of Scripture, the reality of hell, and the return of Christ

3. Mysticism, Eastern Influence, and New Age Ideologies

Practices like yoga, energy healing, spirit guides, and universalism are blending with modern Christianity
This “spirituality without truth” leads people to feel spiritual while rejecting Christ’s Lordship

4. AI Spirituality and Religious Technology

AI preachers, virtual church services, and chatbot “counselors” are being used in religious settings
A coming “image of the beast” may involve technology that mimics divinity

IV. What Does This False Religion Teach?

The one-world religious system will be built on five pillars:
Tolerance over truth – “All roads lead to God”
2. Unity without repentance – “Let’s agree on what we have in common”
3. Love without holiness – “Don’t judge me”
4. Experience over doctrine – “I felt God” replaces “I obey God”
5. Worship without Jesus – Interfaith worship gatherings that remove the cross for the sake of unity

V. God's True Church vs. the False Bride

True ChurchFalse Religious SystemChrist-centeredMan-centeredPreaches repentancePreaches self-acceptancePersecuted for righteousnessPraised by the worldFaithful to the WordCompromises the WordAwaits ChristWelcomes the Antichrist
Revelation 17 reveals a great harlot—a woman riding the beast—representing a church that has traded truth for influence and holiness for power.

VI. The Warning and the Response

“Come out of her, my people…”Revelation 18:4 “That ye be not partakers of her sins.”
The true remnant must:
Discern the difference between the Lamb and the false lamb
Reject religious compromise, even when it sounds good
Embrace sound doctrine, not spiritual emotion
Stand for truth, even when it costs us popularity or comfort

🔍 Discussion Questions:

Why do you think the False Prophet appears like a lamb?
2. What aspects of today’s culture are preparing people for the one-world religion?
3. How can the church guard against spiritual deception?
4. Are there areas where we’ve tolerated false unity at the expense of truth?

Conclusion:

The greatest deception of the last days will not come through war or politics, but through a religious leader who appears righteous. His words will call for peace, but lead to destruction. His sermons will echo love, but betray truth. The world will follow him into worship of the beast—but the remnant will not bow.
We must know the voice of the True Shepherd, lest we follow a counterfeit one.

“The devil doesn’t come as a monster—he comes dressed in robes, quoting Scripture, calling for unity while crucifying truth.”— Anonymous
