This is a Hard topic

Going into this sermon, I was thinking about all those that have been divorced, and Part of me wanted to skip this topic

But in My study God spoke to me

In My Study

He Gave me another view on this passage

Historically Divorce was giving to the Israelites as a release value

An I case of Emergency

But they used it much like our culture does

They use anything to divorce their wives

Even then there was two schools of thought

Two way of filling out a certificate of Divorce

Unfaithfulness

Or what every a man considers to be distasteful, The way she cook, if she talk bad about you Mother, If she spins around and show her Ankle

It was a wild Time…..

After the Babylonian exile

Divorce very high and even the Levite priest were divorcing and marrying women from a hostile nation…

At that point this is written

Malachi 2:16 New Living Translation

For I hate divorce!” says the LORD, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.”

It cruelty because male value was not based on faithfulness or Cassity it was based on money and wealth

Even today we hear people talking value based on the number of people we have been intimate with…

Mark 10:1 is about divorce but it is so much richer than a do and a Don’t

Leave their Father and mother become one

a few things about leaving your mother and father

 it's uncomfortable

it's hard work away from them and see their health failing

it's hard work seeing that loneliness in knowing you can't be with them

but Jesus says to anyone who leaves their mother and father for my sake will receive 100 times as much and eternal life

this call to be a husband and a wife is not an easy thing but he who finds a wife finds a good thing.

It is a “statement” to be claim as a wife or a Husband

You are a God send

But to be a husband that woman is resting under your submission to God

But becoming One isn’t easy

As we drawn closer to Christ we must intention drawn closer to our wives

Because they need us to lead them

And They need us to be led by Christ

They need us to always growing in love

This leads us back genesis not only the fact that it's directly quoted

because of their sin they were no longer allowed to be in the presence of the father who at that time is the creator

and it is compounded by the idea that Adam would choose to blame eve for the sin he so freely participated in therefore he tried to divorce himself from the consequences of their mutual Sin

we live in a world we're we are constantly trying to deflect and circumnavigate around the fact that we are wrong and sinful creatures.

And for you who have been divorced you know this first hand you know the mistakes are have taken place and rotted the union from the inside out.

Last week I talked about the donuts, and the holy spirt asking you to get flowers

The Holy spirit is the Key to us growing more in love with our spouse

As we to overwhelmed or we don’t do what God is call us to do for our spouse our hearts get hardened and our minds can begin to doubt how loved we are.

If Abraham would have rejected Sarah’s Slave wars might have been prevented  

If he might have said we will wait on the Lord together I know what he promised.

               But I know sometime it is hard to see our wives cry and not try to fix and Just like father Abraham take matters into our own hands

               But we have lead and teach our wives to trust and lean on God les our heart become heart

If you were hoping to get a legal concrete stand on what divorce is lawufal and that is not what this is

This a Message of hope

Not to stay in a marriage that is broken But the God that put you together is offering a new Heart…..
