The Renewal of Wedding Vows of Jim and Reaona
We come together today with a special purpose, the renewal of vows, a reminder of what already is. This marriage is a commitment to life-to the best that two people can find and bring out in each other. It offers opportunities for sharing and growth that no other human relationship can equal, a physical and emotional joining that is the very promise for life.
When two people pledge to love and care for each other in marriage, they create a spirit unique to themselves, a spirit which binds them closer than any spoken or written word. Marriage is a promise, a potential, made in the hearts of two people who love, which takes a lifetime to fulfill.
Today is very different, because two generations have occurred in this life, a generation is 20 years and now we are on 40. Grandchildren have given life to great grandchildren. Today is a recognition that God, Jim and Reaona have been faithful up to now. God brought them together and Love has continued
That statement makes us realize that God has done much of the work. God has kept them alive. God has reminded them of his love for them, and motivated forgiveness. God calls us back to ask forgiveness for pride and forgiveness for each other.
Therefore let us give God praise in prayer:
Lord Jesus, You are a remarkable God. Taking two broken people and bringing from them loved that changed the lives of so many. You are the redeemer, healer, comforter. You are the God most High. The one who brings love to where there was pain. Who brings endurance. Who brings joy. You God, have created in these two a relationship that blesses the lives of people throughout our land. Truly Lord, you are worthy of praise and honor. Thank you for Jim. For his love, his humor, his honor and himself. Thank you for Reaona. For her love, her courage, her kindness, her honor, and herself. Thank you Lord for the best in-laws I could ever have. Thank you for these wonderful grandparents, and the blessings of great grandchildren. We ask Lord today that there Love continues, their health strengthens, and their love for you overflows,
IN Jesus name Amen.
Jim and Reaonna, in presenting yourselves here today to be reknew this holy union, you perform an act of faith. This faith can grow and mature and endure, but only if you both determine to make it so. A lasting and growing love is never automatic, always granted by God through forgiveness and His redemption, even our “working it out” is just a taste of the amazing Grace that God grants. .
If you would have the foundation of your union be the love you have for Christ, than this love is not just at this moment, but for all the days ahead. It will help you cherish the hopes and dreams that you bring here today. Resolve that your love will never be blotted out by the commonplace nor obscured by the ordinary in life. Faults will appear but God is in the darkest valleys and the most glorious joys.
Jim will you take Reaonna by the hands and look into her eyes and answer this question?
Pastor:(3)Jim, Do you continue to know Reonna to be your wedded wife, to live together after God's ordinance, in the holy estate of matrimony?
Jim: I do!
Pastor: Do you vow to love her, cherish her, honor her, respect her, and keep her, in sickness and in health; forsaking all others, so long as you both shall live?
Jim: I do!
Pastor: Reaona, Do you continue to know Jim to be your wedded husband, to live together after God's ordinance, in the holy estate of matrimony?
Reaona: I do!
Pastor: Do you vow to love him, cherish him, honor him, respect him and keep him, in sickness and in health; forsaking all others, so long as you both shall live?
Reaona I do!
Jim will you continue vow by repeating after me.
Jim: I want to live with you just as you are. I choose you above all others to share my life with. That, alone, is true evidence that I love you. I want to love you for yourself as Christ loves you. I will encourage you, strengthen you, and hope for you as you grow I will celebrate with you. I promise to honor this pledge as long as life and faith endures.

PRONOUNCEMENTS
Pastor:(2)For-as-much as Jim and Reona have consented together in holy wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and this company, and hereto have given and pledged themselves once again, each to the other; I pronounce that they remain husband and wife, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen!
Pastor: Jim, You may now kiss your bride.
Pastor: Let us now bow our heads for the blessing of this marriage.
(Blessing:) "Lord, I believe that you want this love to grow and to last. Help their love, as beautiful as it is, to become even more beautiful and deeper in the days, months, and years ahead. I ask the Lord to bless and keep you. The Lord make his face to shine upon you and to give you peace, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen!"
My family, here they are Mr. and Mrs. Senkel.
