He is a person of the Trinity and our greatest ally in
walking through life.

unique to Him? Today, we’re going to take a look at the unique personality of the

Scripture: Ephesians 1:13-14

13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

The word guarantee is a banking term that means a
“down payment” — it’s a promise of the future glory we have in heaven!
 Sealed: What does this mean?
Consider: What does this mean for us today?
• Scripture: John 14:16-17

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

— This word can mean comforter, encourager, and
counselor as well as advocate.
• The Holy Spirit is a great mystery of the Godhead. Scripture says the world isn’t
looking for Him and cannot recognize Him, but He is someone we know!
• Many people can get confused about who the Holy Spirit is and what He is here for.
Scripture says He is our helper that will lead us into all truth. He is a member of the
Trinity that we need an intimate relationship with, just like the Father and Son.• The Holy Spirit will never leave you! He is a constant presence that will guide you into
a deeper relationship with God.
Joel 2:28–32“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.…
