Introduction

Psalm 119. It is the longest Psalm in the book of Psalms and the longest chapter in the Bible. It consists of 176 verses. It is a special Psalm in that it is an acrostic poem.

There are eight different Hebrew words that describe the Word of God in this Psalm.

3. Precepts (piqquadim)

4. Statutes (huqqim)

5. Commandments (miswot)

6. Ordinances / Judgments (mispatim)

7. Word (dabar)

8. Promise / word (imra)
