Galatians 6:7-8

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for wwhatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting
No doubt during this time, there were many going around proclaiming to be part of the church but were actually wolves in sheeps clothing. They were of their father, the devil, and were out to try to deceive as many as were possible
Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
Satan’s main objective is to seek kill and destroy.
John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2 Corinthians 11:14–15
So if the devil is able to make something look good, then deception must look good sound good and even feel good.
