An oft misused (and misunderstood) verse that Christians and non-Christians have used when it comes to the topic of judging is found in Matthew 7.
Read Matthew 7:1-5
Let’s break it down, what does this text actually teach.
Sermon on the Mount: often compared the Pharisees righteousness with true righteousness
It is not saying that there is no place for judgment, but it is calling out superficial judgment.

Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.

Notice Matthew 7:5, You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
