SUNDAY ON THE BLOCK

This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.

Good morning and welcome to Sunday on the block, it is great to see you all hear as we worship God and thank Him for all He has done for us. If you are visiting with us today, we pray that you will be blessed and that you would encounter Jesus and all He has for you. We look forward to catching up with you after our service around a sausage sizzle.

LETS PRAY

Father we thank You that Your grace is sufficient for us; we understand that in our weakness You are strong. I ask that Your Holy Spirit would bring revelation of Your strength in us that we may have the power to overcome. Amen
Psalm 102:16–28 NKJV
16 For the Lord shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory. 17 He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, And shall not despise their prayer. 18 This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord. 19 For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; From heaven the Lord viewed the earth, 20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To release those appointed to death, 21 To declare the name of the Lord in Zion, And His praise in Jerusalem, 22 When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord. 23 He weakened my strength in the way; He shortened my days. 24 I said, “O my God, Do not take me away in the midst of my days; Your years are throughout all generations. 25 Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. 26 They will perish, but You will endure; Yes, they will all grow old like a garment; Like a cloak You will change them, And they will be changed. 27 But You are the same, And Your years will have no end. 28 The children of Your servants will continue, And their descendants will be established before You.”
What we are doing here will be spoken of for generations to come and they will praise God for this.
Genesis 13:14–17 NKJV
And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”
Isaiah 58:12 NKJV
12 Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.
Psalm 78:4 NKJV
4 We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
Joel 1:3 NKJV
3 Tell your children about it, Let your children tell their children, And their children another generation.
Proverbs 16:3–5 NKJV
3 Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established. 4 The Lord has made all for Himself, Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom. 5 Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished.
Our heart is that every person would meet with Jesus because we have introduced him well. We love the local church and believe it is integral to God’s plan for the world. It is the community in which we “do life together”. We aim to foster an environment where people feel valued, no matter where they have come from and whatever stage of life they find themselves in. It’s our desire that everyone feels at home and that this house is a place of joy, laughter and a place people want to be. Where everyone has an opportunity to grow, flourish and step into all that God has for their life and where connection isn’t reserved for Sundays, but every day of the week. We believe that Jesus is the hope of the world and God’s word is the absolute truth. We believe in the power of Holy Spirit and actively follow His leading in what we do. We are excited for the future and can’t wait to meet you in one of our services!
