13 Behold, My Servant will prosper (have insight); He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted.
Natural connection to previous demonstrates this is the leader of the grand march just described, Servant of Jehovah here, as in chap. 42:1–6, and chap. 49:1–9, is the Messiah, but presented rather in his own personality than in connection with his people.
The body recedes, the Head prominent and alone. Here the servant, not just ruler and teacher, but an expiatory sacrifice.
14 Just as many were appalled at you, My people, So His appearance was marred more than any man And His form more than the sons of men.
15 Thus He will sprinkle many nations, Kings will shut their mouths on account of Him; For what had not been told them they will see, And what they had not heard they will understand.

He knew the weakness of our estate,
17 Therefore, He had to be made like His brothers in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
18 For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to help those who are tempted.

“That He shall be triumphant, not that others shall be sharers in His victory, but that He shall be as gloriously successful in His enterprise as other victors ever were in theirs.” (alex vol 2 306.) Equal to the greatst conquerors.

This office of intercession is given with promise: Ps 2:8,
When Jesus left, He said He had more work to do. John 14:2-3, Heb 9:7, 11,12, 24,
7 but into the second, only the high priest enters once a year, not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.
11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,
12 and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy places once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

And this intercession is not for the world indescriminiately, but for “those whom are given” John 17:9

If he interceded for all, all would be saved
But He interceeds for Us Rom 8:33-34, whence our confidence arises.
33 Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies;
34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
