1. Provision in Desperation

2 Kings 3:1-20

God provides water for the 3 armies. Even when Joram is worshiping

2. Victory from Vulnerability

2 Kings 3:21-27

God provides victory and provides the first move. When we trust in God, his victory comes in fantastic ways. Whatever we are going through, bringing it to God is the best course of action. Everything in this story was preventable. If the Israelites had actually dealt with the Moabites like God had told them, if they did not have continually bad, evil Kings.

3. Multiplying Mercy

2 Kings 4:1-7

God provides for us in amazing ways..The widow is in much debt, but now she will live off of the oil she sells.

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

4. Reviving Hope

2 Kings 4:8-37

There is a hope in the woman that she knows only the power of God will do for her. It is interesting how she pursues Elisha and does not tell her husband- almost like she knows this problem is going to be solved.

Romans 6:5–8 NIV

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
