GRADUATION SCRIPT (May 2025)

TODAY WE CELEBRATE TWO GRADUATES!

KELLY DALES

Graduating from High School / Academy of Character, Wisdom, and Knowledge

Not only a volleyball extraordinaire, but a wonderful young lady who loves Jesus, her family and her friends well.

She’s already been hard at work in the workforce.

“I have plans to continue working. I am the head middle school coach for the stallions( same team I’ve previously played for.) I’m currently doing training and studying for future youth ministry.”

God is using her now; and will continue to for His glory and purpose.

LYDIA DALES

Graduating from SouthEastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters in Intercultural Studies.

4 years ago, after earning her bachelors at Liberty University, she enrolled with the IMB and served in the mountains of Mexico to reach an unreached people group.

God is using her now; and will continue to for His glory and purpose.

Come stand up front near me for just a moment…

In Psalm 127 we are told that the young are like arrows in the hands of a warrior.

Before us today, Lord, are arrows of the LORD’s Victory.

These are young women that the LORD HImself has formed and gifted for such an hour as this.

Though these are days like the prophet Isaiah described – days of uncertainty, when thick darkness covers the people – we also know that they are days of incredible opportunity.

Our prayer today is that Kelly & Lydia will fly

as an arrow of truth to a society often muddled about right and wrong;

as an arrow of compassion to the unloved and unwanted;

as an arrow of light pointing to a day when the Lord Jesus will reign over the earth.

CONGREGATION, COULD I GET A HANDFUL (OR ALL OF YOU) TO COME UP FRONT AND GATHER AROUND THESE 2 LADIES TO PRAY FOR THEM.

LET’S PRAY…

I pray that they would know the ‘hope of their calling’ and, like Timothy, stir up the gift within them.

FATHER, use them to penetrate a distracted and weary world with truth and wisdom.

Grant them the gift of faith, as they trust you fully!

Grant them a love for Your Word, as they hear Your voice!

Grant them a heart for prayer, let it be like oxygen for them.

Grant them a song of praise, that bubbles out of your goodness in them,

and help them to cultivate a sensitivity to your Holy Spirit - leading them, guiding them, directing them exactly when/where you’d have them go to make much of Jesus!

We know that there will be times when they will have to decide whether or not to take the path that most glorifies You – knowing full well, it will mean being less successful or lesser known in the eyes of others.

Strengthen them.

Bless them to know what it means to be a faithful friend, and a faithful sister in the body of Christ.

May they never lack in passion for You - as they pursue You above all else.

Help them to live with TWO DAYS on their minds at all times - TODAY, and THAT GREAT DAY!

Spirit of the living God, burn afresh in them.

Melt them.

Mold them.

Fill them.

Use them
