Connecting with God: The Lord’s Prayer Pt. 2

Matthew 6:9 ESV
Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
KINGDOM KEY: WHEN WE PRAY, WE ARE TALKING AND LISTENING TO A PERSON - GOD THE FATHER.
I. HE IS A CARING FATHER
Psalm 103:13 NIV
As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
II. HE IS A CONSISTENT FATHER
James 1:17 NIV
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
III. HE IS A CLOSE FATHER
Acts 17:27 NIV
God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
A. HE IS NEVER TOO BUSY FOR ME
Psalm 145:18 NIV
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
B. HE LOVES TO MEET MY NEEDS
Matthew 7:11 NIV
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
C. HE IS SYMPATHETIC TO MY HURTS
Psalm 34:18 NIV
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
IV. HE IS A COMPETENT FATHER
Luke 1:37 ESV
For nothing will be impossible with God.”
