N.T. Wright, an anglican pastor and scholar, Doctorates in multiple disciplines of study and now, nearly apostate and bereft of his testimony. He Says “Adam” and “Eve” Were ‘Primal Pair of Hominids’ Living Among Other Hominids When ‘Some Strange Force’ Called Them, that Abortion is Ok in Cases of Rape and Incest? ‘The best thing to do is as soon as possible to terminate this pregnancy. He Says Jesus’ Bodily Resurrection Is An Optional Christian Belief, Not Needed For Salvation.
Sounds like NT Wright needs to get saved.
Acts 20:18–21 “And when they had come to him, he said to them: “You know, from the first day that I came to Asia, in what manner I always lived among you, 19serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews; 20how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Now we can’t base our confession of faith on just one set of verses, so lets take a look at the ABCS of Faith.
A - Admit
A - Admit
A relationship with Jesus Christ begins with your admission that you need Him. You must admit you need God to do three things: That repent word we read in Acts. Thats a big deal.
1. You need God to forgive you of your sins, those attitudes or actions that don't meet God's standards.
1 John 1:8–9 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
2. You need God to give you eternal life.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
3. You need God to show you His purpose for your life.
John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
B - Believe
B - Believe
Believe that Jesus dies for your sins and rose from the dead. The penalty for your sin is death. God loves you so much that He provides a way for you to escape that penalty. Jesus can and will save anyone from an eternity without God. He died and rose again for your justification, to right your relationship with God.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Romans 4:25 “who [Jesus] was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.”
C - Confess
C - Confess
Confessing Jesus as Lord means to commit total control of your life to Christ. You give Him the ownership of your life. He becomes your new boss. If you confess Jesus as Lord of your life, the Bible says you will be saved.
Romans 10:9–10, 13 “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
The following prayer is one you can use to confess Jesus as Lord and ask Him to save you: Dear God, I admit I am a sinner in need of you. Please forgive me of my sins and give me abundant life here on earth and eternal life with you in heaven. I believe Jesus died and rose again for my sins. I confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life. I ask Jesus now to come into my life and save my soul, and guide and direct my life from this point on, as my Lord. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Anyone wanna roleplay sharing Jesus?
