First we examine what Truth is, and then we learn about building the bridge with those we speak truth to, rather than burning it down. In our church, there will be no (to quote a wonderful malapropism) "burning that bridge when we get to it". We are called to loving those around us, and speaking truth in love. Without love, it is worse than useless.
