Empowered for Purpose (Love Egham)

All right. So well in today as we have been listening through the songs and what day has shared today is a very special day but everything's a special day in the Lord. But today has a special meaning because it is Pentecost Sunday. And Pentecost means that the Greeks is Pinta means 50. I need a Jewish in the Jewish festivals are Pentacles was 50 days after the Passover. Okay? So there was already a pentacle that he was there for those of Christians, he has to have another different meaning now because it is Days after Easter, meaning when the Lord has been offered as the lamb for all of our sins. Does that mean that I'm going to have money power arms or horses? I don't know. But the Lord knew what exactly he was talking about. When he said the Holy Spirit comes on, so that was a promise. And guess what? The Lord fulfill his promise because he's not a man to say lies, he really when he says something, he really fulfilled. Those promises fulfilled. Let's read exactly how it was fulfilled. So let's continue working and bear with me because what I would like you to do today is like a going into a store. We have already raised or perhaps most of us have read these verses, whatever you would like you to go in your mind today. Depressing moment when the Holy Spirit had been poured upon all the disciples and just imagine, you know, when someone reads to us a book for children, our imagination goes and think about that. And that's exactly what happened when the Holy Spirit came all of the sudden they so like fire. But that fire immediately started like a getting tones of fire. So that power for fire was shared among all the people that work there so it was not just for one in Westport. Absolutely everyone and it was resting on each of them. I mean then we say all of them are filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the speed. It enabled them, sort of this, something that place was like, going crazy, you know, you can imagine everybody started talkin and speaking and shouting. And well, they imagine what it is. The feeling of a feeling our hearts, our souls with the Holy Spirit. We want to shout, we want to dance, we went to wrong, we want to do. We want to have other people, we want to do all sorts of things because the power of the holy spirit is so great. So that is exactly what they were feeling and all of a sudden. So many different languages are spoken in the Lord was really in the midst of everything because he wanted that to happen like that, I meant. It was not just a miracle that happened at everybody, we're talking, but it was a mission in itself that was going to happen in that case. So well, the promise. Verse was fulfilled. Pentacles is the Fulfillment of the promise of the Spirit, came not quietly, but with parent, With wine with fire and we've everything we needed just to move forward. I mean so good keeps his promises. The holy spirit is not just for that old church. It is for these days for our church for RCF. It is not a promise that has forgot being forgotten. It is a promise that it is actually for us today. I'm in. So my question for you today, he's had we waiting expectantly forgot to move in the midst of our congregation, I believe. And to me, I mean, there was something special that Jesus Christ came from Heaven to fulfill a mission, but the mission didn't finish that. So after he left, he was empowering every single one of the 12, disciples and more to do exactly what he had done to show the love of God, through exactly sure what he was witnessed in the power of What the Lord Has Done. So now through the holy spirit is that he was going to do that mission accomplished that mission with everybody else. so now we have power for weakness and let's read in Acts chapter 2, verse 5 to 11, I know there were two staying in Jerusalem, Good Feeling juice from every nation under heaven. When they heard the sound of crowd came together in the wilderness because each one hurt their own language being spoken. All of them that they were not really expecting to hear their native language in that place. But guess what? They were so excited that they have came rushing coming together. He's like a, we are here and all this one that is happening here. Imagine the people from the coffee coffee shops in around in. What is this, and what is going on in. Please, let it go. I can't hear my native language so they can come and they can speak and hear just think about it. How many different language we have represented here? And you shout your country, please. This is not just a coincidence that RCF has a mixture of So Many Nations nationalities cultures. And all of us are here because one purpose, we love the Lord. Jesus, we have believed in him, we want to do what he he wants us to do. We want to fulfill the promise we want to do with a commission. Sweet? Want to be in this place being a blessing, we will be sharing later on about the blessings that we had in Love Again, Mission last week and actually, that was just a glimpse of what the Lord Jesus wants us to do once has to be for the community that we are leaving here. He wants us to be lied. He wants us to be the flavor of this Earth. He wants us to share with others What the Lord Has Done For Us. Sometimes we are really afraid. I'm I going to speak to people and when someone says, let's do it. Vangelis. No, I don't do that. I don't do it. But in reality, evangelizing is exactly what we should be doing in our day-to-day life. And he doesn't have to be a 35-point sermon, it is just reading about What the Lord Has Done. So when we are talking about that power, for witness it, is that we need to remember that the spirit enabled, the disciples to speak in other languages to reach out to people from every nation in again. This wasn't just a miracle, it was a mission in itself. I mean So the Holy Spirit, empowers us to be weakness in our communities and Beyond. So, Let's use our gift to reach out to others. I mean, Let's continue. The next one is unity in diversity. We have been talkin about how diverse our church is in something that the Lord he's showing us is that he really want us to work and live in unity, not in uniform. I should be there because the lord loves our individual characters, our individual gives our individual nature. He made us men differently in different sizes and different colors in different skills. Different, everything he made us like that, and because he made us like that she rejoices with the diversity article, when the Lord was saying in the Lord said, everything is good. And he was looking at goodness me, I made so many different nations and ways home Doing things and our own nature according to where we have lived, and he was rejoiced and we have to build on that we need or to feel proud of where we come from. Then, the way that the Lord made us, the things that he gave us the skills that he had allow us to do and die. Because not all have the same things. I really have a lot of respect for our worship team, that they know how to play and sing, I am not in that area, but perhaps it has something different for me. And I always recognize that Julia was in the first place in the queue when the Lord was giving away the cooking and baking skills. So she was dancing. She got it. All the Lord gives each one of us with different things. One of us can dedicate that to serve a bloody Community. No sometimes, yes, sometimes I'm afraid that's as soon as I speak. I mean and for those to meditate on today, are we embracing the diversity of God's Kingdom? We really feel like I'm 36. Like how the Lord has fought in plan for his church and we are c&f just look around the number of blacks. The number to flags that we represent from RCA and it has been all over the years as well. Perhaps the day we don't have all the people that are on those blacks represented. But over the years since I remember that, I arrive to run me. Christian Fellowship in 2002. Well there was a reason to buy one for each country because they were represented in our community. So today Just it is Pentecostal Sunday to go Sunday and for those it is something that we just need to allow the Lord to do the ring again. I mean, expand the kingdom of God with those that speak the same language that we do or even means in English here. I mean, we can actually talk to them. Share the love of God and be doing thick heavy time that we say, Lord, I have done one more, the Lord wants us and I always remember something that I heard before. Each one reach one, at least we would do that each one reach one. Imagine how many people will you say, how many people really get to know about the Lord? Sometimes we can say it is too much work. I can change the world, but we can change one life. And if after sharing our love, our testimony, testimony are being witness to them about what the Lord is. It will reach out and gain that sold for the Lord, I think. Wow, then that person can do the same in this. Name and then it will become explanation because it is not just a riding re-ride.
