Verse 1-2 — My Father in Heaven, how often I am faced with certain unbearable troubles that come to me. There are times when I know that what is overwhelming me is either due to my sin, the sin of others, or pressures of the enemy. Lord, I am thankful your ear is never deaf or dull to my prayers. Praise your name for be the foundation of which I am able to stand when my heart is overwhelmed.
Verse 3 — To my faithful Father, help me never to forget how must my past life is filled with moments when you lovingly and faithfully became a shelter for me from my enemies and a tower by which I was able to rise above the devils attacks and the weaknesses of my own flesh.
Verse 4 — Father in Heaven. What a joy it is to hide away in your presence for you and ever with me and invite me to abide in You. I am greatly comforted by the fact your hands are a covering for my protection as I journey through this life and labor in your kingdom.
Verse 5 — Heavenly Father, thank you for my great possession in Jesus Christ. I have found that the height and depth of heavenly possession in beyond my comprehension. Help me to always reckon the reality of my every present victory in Christ. He is the one who fights my battles and brings me peace.
Verse 6 — Eternal Father, as with David, I too desire to be as much of who you have called me to be in the eternal life to come as I am to be in this life for your glory. Always bring to my mind that You and You alone are worth living for. Strengthen me to serve you well with the little I have on earth, that I may give you praise through stewarding greater things in the world to come.
Verse 7 — Heavenly Father, How comforting it is to understand the level of kindness you have shown me. Even though I face many people and circumstances that seem to lead me to think that there is no kindness to be experienced, You are there ushering in a depth of kindness that heals my soul.
Verse 8 — Father in Heaven, as I look back at my sins, failures, and shortcoming, the only thing that is left in my heart and on my tongue is a song of praise to your eternal name. O help me to be strengthened in service to You by reflecting on the former strength I have recieved from You. Hallelujah, You remain on Your throne!
