Its In the Preparation
Its In the Preparation
Matthew 25:10–13
““But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’ “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.”
Reasoning:
Start: The story of me getting leave by the airline....
The ticket was purchase, I was a frequent flyer with the airline, I was expecting them, and they was expecting me. But because of my lack of preparation I was left off of the flight.
And that is exactly how some Christians live their lives, they were virgins, they had lamps, they expected the groom to come, but they lived their lives without any oil, and their was no light coming from them. How many Christian live their lives, without any preparation of the return of Christ. How many people place God first in their bios, but their lifestyle depicts something totally different.
How many times trough out scripture that teaches his disciples that being Christian is more than just name, its more than just being a part of the group.
Thats why Jesus said In Matthew 7:21–23
““Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Its more than just coming to Church, or for us working at a Church. How do we liv our lives before we come on the job or after we leave at 5 o clock. How we treat people matters? Its about how we lives our lives on a daily bases. So many Christians are walking around lamps with no oil, walking around baring the name but their lives are totally different. A time will come when Christ does return. Will you be ready? Will their oil in your lamp? Will your light shine? Will you bare good fruit? Take a look at your life, and analyze where you are in Christ, right now? When Christ return will you be ready without a shadow of a doubt or do you need some oil in your lamp?
