See How Much the Father Loves Us

📖 1 John 3:1 NLT — “See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children, and that is what we are!”

1 John 3:1 TPT

Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children. The reason the world doesn’t recognize who we are is that they didn’t recognize him.

đŸ•Šïž INTRODUCTION: See the Love — Step Into Identity đŸ”„

“See how very much our Father loves us
” This is not a gentle whisper—it’s a shout of amazement from the Apostle John, a man who had walked with Jesus, leaned upon His chest, and watched Him bleed for the sins of the world. Yet, even after seeing miracles, healings, and glory, the one thing that stunned John the most was the outrageous, overwhelming love of the Father.
This is not ordinary love. This is not human love. This is heaven’s love, divine and unshakable.
And here’s the stunning part: He calls us His children
and that is what we are. Let that sink in. God—the infinite, all-powerful, all-holy Creator of the universe—has chosen to identify us as His own sons and daughters. Not just as servants. Not just as followers. But as beloved children.
đŸ”„ This is more than theology—it’s identity. đŸ”„ This is more than doctrine—it’s destiny. đŸ”„ This is more than information—it’s a revelation that re-anchors your entire life.
We are living in a generation crippled by identity confusion. People don’t know who they are, whose they are, or why they exist. The world is busy labeling people with shame, addiction, trauma, brokenness, and failure. But God breaks through the noise and says:
“YOU ARE MINE.”
This one truth—“He calls us His children”—will crush the orphan spirit, break the chains of rejection, and restore your soul. The moment you receive this revelation, the way you pray will change, the way you walk will change, and the way you live will change.
đŸ§Žâ€â™‚ïž You’ll stop striving for approval and start resting in identity. đŸ•Šïž You’ll stop running from the Father and start running to Him. 👑 You’ll stop fighting for worth and start living from worth.
In this message, we’re going to explore seven Spirit-filled revelations about the Father’s love. These are not just truths to admire—these are truths that will rewire your heart and soul. Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus for fifty years or you’re just starting the journey—this message will bring you home to the heart of the Father.
So open your heart, child of God. The Father isn’t just calling your name
He’s calling you by relationship. He’s calling you by love. He’s calling you His own.
đŸ”„ Let’s go deep into the glory of that love.

📖 POINT 1: You Are Called by the Father’s Love

Key Verse: 1 John 3:1 “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”
The Father's love is not earned, it is lavished upon us.
🔑 Strong’s Word: Agapē (Strong’s G26) – divine love; the highest form of unconditional love
đŸ”„ Spirit-Filled Thought: You were called and claimed by agapē, not human effort. His love was initiated before you were even born. God’s love didn’t wait for your perfection—it reached into your brokenness and called you “Mine.” Supporting Scriptures:
Jeremiah 31:3 “The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”
John 15:16 “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
đŸ§â€â™‚ïž Illustration: Imagine a foster child adopted into a loving home. He didn’t choose his family—but his family chose him, gave him a new name, a new identity, and a secure place in their hearts. That’s what God did for us.
Application: You are not defined by your past, but by the love that called you by name. Every failure, mistake, or label falls off in the face of God’s calling love.

📖 POINT 2: You Are Children of God—Not Slaves

Key Verse: Galatians 4:6–7 “And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
We are not spiritual servants trying to earn a place in God’s house—we are sons and daughters with full access. The Spirit doesn’t cry “Master!”—He cries “Abba!”
🔑 Strong’s Word: Huios (Strong’s G5207) – mature, rightful son or daughter with full inheritance rights đŸ”„ Spirit-Filled Thought: You are not a servant sneaking crumbs from the table—you are a huios, a rightful heir. You carry heaven’s inheritance, not out of obligation, but out of blood-bought identity. The Spirit cries out Abba within you—because you belong. Supporting Scriptures:
Romans 8:15 “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.””
John 8:35–36 “And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
đŸ§â€â™€ïž Illustration: A child doesn’t knock before entering their father’s house—they run freely into his arms. That’s what we’re called to.
Application: Stop living like a slave in your Father’s house. You don’t have to perform for His approval. He’s already given you His name and His inheritance.

📖 POINT 3: His Love Reveals Your True Identity

Key Verse: 1 Peter 2:9–10 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”
You are chosen, holy, and set apart because of His love. The world tries to define us, but only the love of the Father gives us our true name. Supporting Scriptures:
🔑 Strong’s Word: Eklegomai (Strong’s G1586) – to choose, select, handpick for oneself đŸ”„ Spirit-Filled Thought: You were not randomly selected. God eklegomai—handpicked you before time began. Your identity is not the sum of your mistakes, but the result of being chosen by love for divine purpose.
Ephesians 1:4–5 “just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,”
Isaiah 43:1 “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.”
đŸ§â€â™‚ïž Illustration: Think of Jacob. He wrestled with God, and God changed his name to Israel—not because of who he was, but because of who God declared him to be.
Application: Tear off the false labels the world has put on you—failure, addict, reject—and wear the name “Beloved Child of God.”

📖 POINT 4: His Love Transforms How You Live

Key Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:14–15 “For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.”
Once we are secure in God’s love, we no longer live to impress others—we live to reflect our Father’s heart. His love changes our behavior, our desires, and our purpose.
🔑 Strong’s Word: Metamorphoƍ (Strong’s G3339) – to be transformed from the inside out đŸ”„ Spirit-Filled Thought: God’s love doesn’t just comfort you—it metamorphoƍs you. You are being inwardly transformed into His likeness. This is not behavior modification—it’s identity revelation. You live different because you are different. Supporting Scriptures:
Romans 12:1–2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Colossians 3:12–14 “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”
đŸ§â€â™€ïž Illustration: A rescued child from the streets no longer lives in fear or survival mode. Over time, love retrains their instincts to rest, trust, and dream.
Application: Let God’s love uproot the old survival patterns in you. You are not who you were. His love empowers newness of life.

📖 POINT 5: His Love Defends and Protects You

Key Verse: Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.””
A true father doesn’t just love his child—he fights for them. God is not passive. His love defends us from the accusations of the enemy and the shame of our past. Supporting Scriptures:
🔑 Strong’s Word: Gannān (Strong’s H1598) – to shield, defend, encompass with protection đŸ”„ Spirit-Filled Thought: His love is not passive—it is protective. God doesn’t just watch over you—He gannāns you. Like a shield around a treasure, His love stands between you and every fiery dart. No weapon formed against His child shall prevail.
Psalm 91:14 ““Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.”
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.”
đŸ§â€â™‚ïž Illustration: A father who rushes into traffic to save his child reveals the intensity of love that values the child above his own safety.
Application: Stand in the confidence that no weapon formed against you shall prosper—not because of your strength, but because your Father is your defender.

📖 POINT 6: His Love Disciplines for Your Destiny

Key Verse: Hebrews 12:6–7 “For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?”
God’s love is not just comforting—it’s correcting. He sees beyond your comfort and aims for your calling. Like any good father, He disciplines us for our good and growth.
🔑 Strong’s Word: Paideuƍ (Strong’s G3811) – to train as a child, to discipline with love for growth đŸ”„ Spirit-Filled Thought: His correction is not rejection—it’s paideuƍ, the training of a loved child. God doesn’t discipline out of wrath but out of vision—He sees where you’re going and shapes you to walk in it. Discipline is proof of destiny.
Supporting Scriptures:
Proverbs 3:11–12 “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction; For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.”
Revelation 3:19 “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.”
đŸ§â€â™€ïž Illustration: An Olympic coach disciplines a runner not because he dislikes them—but because he sees their potential to win gold.
Application: Don’t despise His discipline. It’s proof you’re a legitimate child and a carrier of divine destiny.

📖 POINT 7: His Love Is the Anchor of Eternal Hope

Key Verse: Romans 8:38–39 “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Nothing can separate us from His love—not death, sin, or the devil. His love doesn’t expire or change. It is the eternal anchor of your soul.
🔑 Strong’s Word: Agkura (Strong’s G45) – anchor; something that holds firm and immovable
đŸ”„ Spirit-Filled Thought: God’s love is your agkura—your anchor in the storm. Feelings may waver, battles may rage, but His love never moves. Your identity as His child is eternally secured. You are tethered to heaven’s heart.
Supporting Scriptures:
Titus 3:4–7 “But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
John 14:1–3 ““Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
đŸ§â€â™‚ïž Illustration: When a boat is anchored, no matter how hard the storm hits, it stays grounded. That’s the love of the Father—it holds us fast in the fiercest trials.
Application: Rest in this: God’s love for you is not fragile. It’s fierce, it’s final, and it’s forever.
Wonderful! Here's a matching Spirit-filled conclusion with a closing prophetic illustration, declaration, and prayer to mirror the powerful introduction and bring the message to a Spirit-led crescendo:

đŸ”„ CONCLUSION: Coming Home to the Father's Heart

From the foundation of the world, God wasn't just building a religion—He was preparing a family. A family marked by love, governed by grace, and sealed with the Spirit of adoption. And in these final days, God is restoring identity to His children—not as orphans, not as wanderers, but as sons and daughters who know who they are and whose they are.
Beloved, God didn’t save you to sit in shame. He didn’t call you to live like a beggar at the gate. He placed a robe on your shoulders, a ring on your finger, and shoes on your feet—just like the father did for the prodigal son. Why? Because you are home. You are His.

đŸ§„ Prophetic Illustration: The Royal Garment

There’s a story told of a homeless man in rags, wandering outside the gates of a royal palace. The king, moved with compassion, sent his son to go find the man. The prince found him, covered in filth and shame. But instead of rebuking him, the prince took off his own royal robe, wrapped it around the broken man, and said, “From this day forward, you are no longer a beggar—you are a son of my father.”
That is exactly what Jesus has done for us. He clothed us with His righteousness, called us sons and daughters, and brought us into the house—not as guests, but as family.

đŸ—Łïž Prophetic Declaration:

Repeat this out loud and let it sink into your spirit:
“I am no longer a slave to fear—I am a child of God. I am not an orphan—I have a Father in heaven. I am not rejected—I am accepted in the Beloved. I will not live beneath my identity—I will walk as a son, as a daughter, with authority and love. The love of God is my anchor. The voice of the Father is my security. And the Spirit of Adoption is my seal. I am who my Father says I am!”

🙏 Closing Prayer:

Abba Father, Thank You for calling us Your children—not based on performance but by Your perfect love. Today, we step out of every false identity, every orphan mindset, and every lie of the enemy. We say YES to Your voice. YES to Your name over our lives. YES to our place in Your house. Let Your Spirit cry out within us: “Abba, Father!”
Wrap us again in the robe of Your acceptance. Seal us with the Spirit of sonship. And let the world see sons and daughters who burn with love, walk in truth, and carry Your glory.
In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, Amen.
