“God’s Faithful Justice: He Will Not Walk Away”

Text: Psalm 94:14–15 TPT "For the Lord will never walk away from his cherished ones, nor would he forsake his chosen ones who belong to him. Whenever you pronounce judgments, they reveal righteousness. All your devoted lovers will be pleased."

🔥 The God Who Will Not Walk Away

There comes a time in every believer’s life where the storms rage louder than the promises we once heard. A time when the voices of injustice, betrayal, and abandonment grow deafening, and the heart begins to whisper, “Where is God now?” We live in an age of betrayal—political betrayal, relational betrayal, even spiritual betrayal. People walk away. Friends become foes. Systems collapse. Justice seems like a dream long deferred.
But God has a different track record—He does not walk away.
Psalm 94 thunders with assurance:
“The Lord will never walk away from His cherished ones…”
That means you. That means me. That means every person who has said yes to being God’s own possession.
This is not just a comforting phrase—it is a declaration of war against the lie that says God has abandoned you. Hell wants you to believe that your pain has pushed God away. But heaven has already decreed: You are chosen, you are cherished, and you are not forgotten.
This passage is not soft poetry for broken days—it is a battle cry, calling God’s people to remember that even in a world drowning in injustice, God is not only present, He is pronouncing judgments that will once again reveal His righteousness.
This Word is not just about comfort. It’s about confidence. It’s not just about survival. It’s about revival.
Right now, across the nations, believers are waking up with holy dissatisfaction. They are crying out for a just God in an unjust world. And the Spirit is echoing from the heavens:
“I have not walked away from My beloved. I have not turned My face. I am still the God of justice, and I am coming to set things right—beginning in the hearts of My devoted lovers.”
This sermon is for those who feel left behind, overlooked, or wrongly judged. It’s for the remnant who have been weeping in the secret place, asking God to remember them.
Today, He answers.
He is the Judge who wears a Shepherd’s robe. He is the King who never abandons His warriors. He is the Father who disciplines through righteousness and restores through love. And He is rising up in our midst to declare once again:
“I will not walk away. My justice will prevail. And My beloved will rejoice.”
Let us now dive deep into this passage, allowing each verse to reveal the unwavering character of our God—the God of faithful justice.

📖 POINT 1: God Will Never Walk Away from His Cherished Ones

“The Lord will never walk away from His cherished ones...” (v.14a)
Key Thought: God’s love is covenantal, not contractual. His presence is permanent.

🔑 Key Strong’s Enriched Thought:

“Never walk away” – Strong’s H5203 (nāṭaš): to abandon, forsake, cast off, or neglect. God uses this word to deny any suggestion that He would treat His people like man does. His love has no expiration date!
🔥 Spirit-Filled Insight: Even when man abandons, God remains. His covenant love overrides our circumstances. His presence clings closer than your breath.

Illustration:

A young girl once lost her way in a crowded city. Hours passed, and though she was scared, she never cried. When her mother found her, she asked, “Why didn’t you cry?” The girl replied, “I knew you would come.”
So it is with God. He never walks away from His own.

Supporting Scriptures:

Deuteronomy 31:6 – “He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Isaiah 49:15–16 – “I have engraved you on the palms of My hands.”
Romans 8:38–39 – Nothing can separate us from His love.

📖 POINT 2: You Belong to God—Chosen and Cherished

“…nor would He forsake His chosen ones who belong to Him.” (v.14b)
Key Thought: You are not an accident; you are adopted and appointed.

🔑 Key Strong’s Enriched Thought:

“Chosen” – Strong’s H972 (bāchar): to choose, elect, or appoint with affection and purpose. God doesn’t merely select you; He desires you. His choice is full of emotion, purpose, and intent.
🔥 Spirit-Filled Insight: You weren’t just picked—you were pursued. God’s selection is not random but royal. You are heaven’s inheritance and earth’s ambassador.

Real-Life Application:

When someone knows they belong, they live with confidence. A foster child once said after being adopted, “Now I know I’m home.” God does the same—He gives us a spiritual home and divine belonging.

Supporting Scriptures:

1 Peter 2:9 – “You are a chosen generation…”
John 15:16 – “You did not choose Me, but I chose you…”
Ephesians 1:4–5 – Chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world.

📖 POINT 3: God’s Judgments Are Always Righteous

“Whenever You pronounce judgments, they reveal righteousness.” (v.15a)
Key Thought: God’s justice is redemptive, not retaliatory.

🔑 Key Strong’s Enriched Thought:

“Judgments” – Strong’s H4941 (mishpāṭ): divine verdict, justice, a ruling that establishes order. God’s judgments are not about vengeance—they set things right, they bring alignment with heaven’s order.
🔥 Spirit-Filled Insight: When God judges, He restores. His rulings don’t destroy—they build righteousness into the foundation of your life.

Illustration:

A judge once ruled against a boy caught stealing food—then stepped down, paid the fine himself, and took the boy home. That’s justice with mercy. That’s God.

Supporting Scriptures:

Isaiah 30:18 – “The Lord is a God of justice…”
Psalm 89:14 – “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne.”
Micah 6:8 – “Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly.”

📖 POINT 4: God's Judgments Are a Source of Joy for the Righteous

“All Your devoted lovers will be pleased.” (v.15b)
Key Thought: When we love righteousness, we rejoice in God's justice.

🔑 Key Strong’s Enriched Thought:

“Pleased” – Strong’s H3107 (tōb): to be joyful, good, pleasing, morally excellent. When the righteous see God’s justice, their hearts rejoice because heaven’s values are being reestablished.
🔥 Spirit-Filled Insight: What pleases lovers of God is not ease—it is righteous alignment. Joy is not the absence of war but the evidence of justice.

Real-Life Application:

When revival swept through the Hebrides Islands in the 1950s, people wept with joy at the conviction of God’s justice. Bars emptied. Churches filled. Why? His judgments brought righteousness.

Supporting Scriptures:

Psalm 97:11–12 – “Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.”
Proverbs 21:15 – “Justice brings joy to the righteous.”
Hebrews 12:11 – “Discipline yields peaceful fruit.”

📖 POINT 5: The Faithful Are Not Forgotten in Times of Injustice

Key Thought: Even when the world forgets you, God remembers your faithfulness.

🔑 Key Strong’s Enriched Thought:

“Forsake” – Strong’s H5800 (ʿāzab): to leave behind, to desert, to let go. This word appears throughout Scripture as a warning—but in Psalm 94, God flips it: He will never do this to His people.
🔥 Spirit-Filled Insight: Though others may forget your name, God has inscribed it (Isaiah 49:16). Your faithfulness writes your legacy in His book of remembrance.

Illustration:

Joseph was forgotten in Pharaoh’s prison by men, but remembered by God. In due time, God raised him up—not just for his sake, but for an entire nation.

Supporting Scriptures:

Genesis 50:20 – “You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.”
Galatians 6:9 – “Don’t grow weary…for in due season we shall reap.”
Malachi 3:16–17 – “A book of remembrance was written.”

📖 POINT 6: God's Justice Prepares the Earth for His Glory

Key Thought: Before revival breaks, justice must awaken.

🔑 Key Strong’s Enriched Thought:

“Righteousness” – Strong’s H6664 (tsedeq): uprightness, moral justice, right relationship. God's righteousness isn’t just legal—it’s relational. His justice makes space for His glory to dwell.
🔥 Spirit-Filled Insight: Revival cannot flow where injustice is tolerated. But where righteousness flows, glory follows. God’s justice is the road on which His glory rides in.

Real-Life Story:

In Rwanda after the genocide, believers led forgiveness and justice efforts. Revival came through repentance and righteous judgment. God’s glory follows justice.

Supporting Scriptures:

Isaiah 61:8 – “For I, the Lord, love justice…”
Isaiah 58:6–8 – “Then your light will break forth…”
Psalm 72:1–3 – The king rules with justice and brings peace.

📖 POINT 7: God’s Unfailing Presence Is the Anchor of the Righteous

Key Thought: His justice is not separate from His presence—it flows from it.

🔑 Key Strong’s Enriched Thought:

“Cherished ones” – Strong’s H5971 (ʿām): a people knit together in belonging and identity. You’re not just an individual—you’re part of a cherished people, a spiritual family woven into God’s eternal purposes.
🔥 Spirit-Filled Insight: You are part of a remnant people, a chosen tribe. When His judgments come, He doesn’t scatter—He gathers. And in that gathering, He anchors His people in Himself.

Illustration:

A lighthouse doesn’t move during the storm—it stands. God is our immovable lighthouse. His presence anchors us in life’s chaos.

Supporting Scriptures:

Exodus 33:14 – “My presence will go with you…”
Hebrews 13:5 – “I will never leave you…”
Psalm 46:1–3 – “God is our refuge and strength…”
Absolutely! Here is a Spirit-filled conclusion to powerfully enhance the main point of your sermon on Psalm 94:14–15 (TPT)“God’s Faithful Justice: He Will Not Walk Away” — along with a prophetic-style altar call and a closing prayer to seal the message:

🔥 CONCLUSION: The Justice of God Will Not Be Silenced

Beloved, in an age where betrayal seems normal and justice feels delayed, Psalm 94 thunders like a trumpet from heaven:
“The Lord will never walk away from His cherished ones.”
He is not absent. He is not blind to the corruption in the land. He has not forgotten His church. He is positioning His lovers—His remnant—to reveal His righteousness once again.
And though injustice may flood the streets, God’s judgments are not on pause. They are active, righteous, and perfectly timed. The world may reward evil, but God is raising up a generation who will not be shaken, because they are anchored in this unshakable truth:
🔥 “You are cherished. You are chosen. You are not forgotten.”
God’s justice is not just coming—it is flowing through you. You are His vessel, His voice, and His evidence in the earth.
So arise in confidence. Let the fire of this truth burn out every lie of abandonment and every wound of injustice. The Judge is in the house, and He’s not here to condemn you—He’s here to restore you.

🙌 ALTAR CALL: The Call to Return and Rest in His Justice

If you’ve been feeling forgotten... If the injustice in your life or in the world has caused you to question His presence... If you’ve been silently waiting for God to step in...
👉 Today is your moment to return to the God who never walked away.
Come forward in your heart. Come forward in your spirit. Lift your hands and say:
“I believe You still see me. I believe Your justice is working. I believe I am cherished.”
Let every lie be shattered. Let every weight fall. Let the justice of God begin in you today.

🙏 CLOSING PRAYER:

Father, we thank You that You are the Righteous Judge, the Faithful Redeemer, and the God who never walks away. You see our pain, You record every tear, and You are writing a verdict of justice over our lives. Today, we choose to trust You again. We break agreement with every lie that says we are forgotten. We renounce every fear that says injustice wins. And we receive the fire of Your righteous presence.
Let Your justice flow like a river. Let Your righteousness be seen in us. Let our lives be living proof that You are still with Your people.
Seal this Word in us, Holy Spirit. Burn it into our bones. And raise us up to be carriers of hope, voices of truth, and lovers of righteousness in this generation.
In the mighty, unshakable, just name of Jesus Christ, we pray—Amen.
