Jesus is the Eternal King

1 John 5:20 NKJV
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
If you find that your home is filled with conflict and chaos, remember that Jesus, as the eternal king, brings His reign of peace. Take time this week to gather your family for a devotion where you read a passage about Jesus’ kingship. Discuss how His sovereignty can guide your decisions and how submitting to Him can foster harmony in your relationships. Encourage each family member to share how they can actively follow Jesus’ example in the home, perhaps through an act of service or forgiveness toward one another.
John 3:16 NKJV
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Hebrews 5:9 NKJV
9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
If you’re struggling with feelings of anxiety or discontent in your home, know that trusting in Jesus as the eternal king can provide assurance and direction. Set aside time to pray through your worries, writing down each concern as you offer them to God. Then, meditate on Scripture that affirms Jesus’ sovereignty over your circumstances. Allow this practice to transform your perspective, anchoring your heart in His control and leading you to choose gratitude instead of anxiety, ultimately creating a more peaceful atmosphere in your home.
Deuteronomy 33:27 NKJV
27 The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, ‘Destroy!’
In your public life, whether at work or in the community, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the chaos around you. Remember that Jesus, as the eternal king, is still in control, despite worldly issues. This week, take a stand against negativity by initiating small acts of kindness in your workplace or community. Compliment a coworker, help someone with their workload, or volunteer for a community service project. Such actions reflect the love and grace of your King and can inspire others to acknowledge His presence in their own lives.
1 John 5:11–13 NKJV
11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Jesus is the Immortal King

In moments of doubt, when you feel burdened by the trivialities of life, remind yourself that Jesus is the immortal king who reigns over all. You can set aside a specific time each week to study the gospels together as a family. Share stories about how Jesus' eternal nature infuses joy and purpose into your everyday struggles. This practice not only deepens your faith but also builds a resilient foundation in your home, creating a space where everyone feels secure in God’s unchanging love.
Romans 2:6–8 NKJV
6 [God] who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,
This Present Life is Temporary.
1 Corinthians 15:53–54 NKJV
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
2 Timothy 1:10 NKJV
10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
In your public interactions, whether at the gym or in local community events, you may encounter negativity or feel out of place. Taking inspiration from 2 Timothy 1:10, which reminds us of the hope Christ brings, strive to be a light in these spaces. Challenge yourself this month to offer genuine compliments or words of encouragement to at least three people you meet. You can also share your testimony briefly in appropriate conversations, creating opportunities for meaningful interactions that uplift others and reflect Christ’s love in public life.

King Jesus is the Image of the Invisible God

1 Timothy 6:16 NKJV
16 [God] who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

Colossians 1:15–16 NKJV
15 [Jesus] He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him [Jesus] all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Hebrews 11:27 NKJV
27 By faith he [Moses] forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.

King Jesus is the Only Wise God

John 1:1–5 NKJV
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shined in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Colossians 2:2–3 NRSV

Romans 11:33–36 NKJV
33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! 34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?” 35 “Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?” 36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
Matthew 7:24–29 NKJV
24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” 28 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Luke 21:15 NKJV
15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.
