GOD IS

Exodus 34:6–7 KJV 1900
6 And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
1. God Is Good and Righteous
God is Good and Righteous. Only goodness comes from God. He is good and righteous and only does what is GOOD. Psalm 145:17 “17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, And holy in all his works.” declares: Righteousness is defined as “someone who is morally upright, just, and adheres to a strong sense of right and wrong.” God will only do good. No bad or wrong can come out of Him. That would be against His true character and being. You can declare like David did in the Psalm 136:1 “1 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: For his mercy endureth for ever.”

2. God Is Eternal and Unchanging

God is unchanging and eternal. He will never change and will exist forever and ever, Amen. In Malachi 3:6 “6 For I am the Lord, I change not; Therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” God does NOT change. He remains faithful, no matter what any person decides, acts on, or says. God will always stay the same and is faithful to never leave or forsake us. God keeps his promises! As a Shepherd, He remains steadfast as the good leader leading those He loves every step of the way as long as we are willing to listen, know His voice, and obediently walk in the direction He guides us. Isaiah 40:28 “28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, That the everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding.”
states, God and His promises will last for all of eternity. Unlike an earthly father, God will not say Oh, I change my mind. I am no longer going to on _______ promise. What God says will be done!

3. God Is Merciful

Mercy is defined as “compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm.” Ephesians 2:4–5 “4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” reveals: God is full of mercy. That is why His wrath does not consume you every day when you choose to walk in blatant disobedience and sin. Your sin deserves to be punished through death and eternal torment. However, as Psalm 103:13 “13 Like as a father pitieth his children, So the Lord pitieth them that fear him.” so clearly shares: Through the blood of Jesus, God has compassion for anyone who accepts Jesus as Savior and Lord.
(Psalm 103:8 “8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.” and - Lamentations 3:22–23 “22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
The Good, Good Father loves you with every part of his being and is merciful with you daily. As a follower of Christ, we accept and believe his mercy for us. God is a wrathful God, nevertheless, He is merciful and offers you compassion and forgiveness.

4. God Is Gracious

This fourth truth about God goes hand in hand with mercy. Because God is merciful and righteous, He offers his grace to all of humanity. Biblical grace is defined as unmerited favor and love to all of humanity, particularly through the gift of salvation. Ephesians 2:7–8 “7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” beautifully explains how grace is given and attained:
Contrary to worldly and religious belief, grace is not attainable through human efforts and human “good.” It is a gift that God gives you. Just like on your birthday, you do not earn yourself a gift from someone for your good works and conduct. God’s grace is given in the same manner. You do nothing to earn and attain grace. God freely gives it to those who believe in and call Jesus Lord and Savior of their life. No amount of “good” works will get you any form of grace. Grace is given to all believers because Psalm 116:5 “5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yea, our God is merciful.” Therefore, you can walk in the clarity that "My [God’s] grace is sufficient for you" (2 Corinthians 12:9 “9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

5. God Is Trustworthy

This fifth truth, “trustworthy,” is a hard one for many believers of God the Father. The main reason for that is because everyone has been let down by at least another human. Someone has broken your trust. It is a guarantee that during your lifetime, at least one person, if not more, will break your trust. People are fallible and sinners. However, God is righteous and unchanging and is trustworthy.
Matthew 6:27–30 “27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?”
paints this beautiful picture of why you should trust God:
God lovingly takes care of all of creation, but YOU are his prized possession. You are an image bear of God, and He wants ONLY the best for you. Matthew 7:11 “11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” goes one step further declaring. Thus, you can Proverbs 3:5–6 “5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.” .

6. God Is Forgiving

As Jesus was being crucified on the cross, he prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Jesus walked in utter obedience and unconditional love by dying on the cross for your and all of humanity's sins. As he was in agony, he interceded for those who were nailing him to the cross and for the sins of all of mankind that he bore on the cross. Jesus knew His mission and that was to be the innocent lamb slaughtered for your, and everyones’s sins. By completing His mission, Jesus fulfills God’s truth of being a forgiving God. (Ephesians 1:7 “7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” . Additionally, (Psalm 103:10–12 “10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, So great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” .

7. God Is Strong and Powerful

A common phrase is “God won’t give you more than you can handle.” However, that is far from the truth. You are not strong enough to live out this life in your own strength and willpower. Instead, God is the one who is strong and powerful, and He is the one who is our strength and power. 1 Chronicles 29:11–12 “11 Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. 12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.” shouts this truth:
God is the strong and powerful one, not you. Stop striving to be and believe that you are the strong one who is going to get you through everything. Instead, rest in the truth that (2 Peter 1:3 “3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”      Furthermore, Psalm 24:8 “8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.” Isaiah 41:10 “10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

8. God's Love is Unconditional

This truth is breathed throughout all the previous truths mentioned prior. However, there are three direct scriptures that showcase how God loves you unconditionally.
(John 3:16 “16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God gave up his own Son and allowed him to die, through the most excruciating death that you could imagine. 1 John 3:1 “1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.” God loved you so much that he put his son to death, so that you could be his child and live eternally with Him due to his great mercy, grace, and love. (Deuteronomy 7:9 “9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;” .

9. God Is Always Present

You may not always “see” God with your earthly eyes, but He is always present. Hebrews 13:5 “5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” declares,
"God has said I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."
God has been with believers since the day we were created. In the garden, He walked side by side with Adam and Eve. we were made to be in a relationship with God. People are image bearers of God. His prized possessions! As Deuteronomy 4:7 “7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?” reminds, God is the only God who is alive and is present with his followers. He says in Revelation 3:20 “20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” , God loves you so much and wants you to open the door, have two-way conversation with Him, and be in an intimate relationship with Him. God is a loving Father who wants to be with you always!

10. God Is Sovereign

He has ultimate authority and control over E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. That should bring you great comfort. God is independent of everything. He does not need anyone else to help Him rule this earth other than the whole Trinity, Jesus and Holy Ghost included. God sees everything taking place every day, and His plan will prevail.
Psalm 103:19 “19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; And his kingdom ruleth over all.” Jeremiah 10:12 “12 He hath made the earth by his power, He hath established the world by his wisdom, And hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.”
Through our sonship through Jesus, (Proverbs 2:6 “6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” . As a child of God, look to God for knowledge and understanding. Accept the truth that He is in supreme control. Declare (Romans 16:27 “27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.” Then, you can walk in trust and faith and be led by the wise, just God who wants to give you blessings.
God the Father is perfectly righteous and unchanging. His mercy, grace, and love for you runs deep. His forgiveness oozes out through the blood Jesus shed on the cross, making it possible for you to be called a beloved child of the One True God. Through His strength and power, He reigns sovereignly over all of creation. He is ever present, desiring to guide you with His wisdom and justice along the path He has prepared for you, even before you took your first breath. As you trust in His provision and ways, He walks with you every step of the way. May you hold fast to these 10 truths about your Heavenly Father, so that you can peacefully walk beside still waters with the King of Kings, Sovereign God. With confidence, declare
-Psalm 145:1 “1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; And I will bless thy name for ever and ever.” , Psalm 145:3 “3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And his greatness is unsearchable.” , Psalm 145:9 “9 The Lord is good to all: And his tender mercies are over all his works.”
I am so glad that i am one of His children and this is who God is God is in control
If you are not one of God’s you will be left out of all the good things God is giving us but the greatest is salvation - eternal joy
