A. Resident—v. 10

Jesus was resident with God when the world was created, yet the world did not accept Him.

B. Rejection—v. 11

He came to His own Jewish people, but they rejected Him. He was even rejected by His own family.

Those who received Him were made sons of God. They became sons of God by believing on His name.

IV. THE PERSONALITY—vv. 13–14

A. Salvation—v. 13

Born of God. This was the new birth spoken of by Jesus in John 3:1–8. Paul spoke of its results in 2 Corinthians 5:17.

B. Savior—v. 14

1. Condensation

Christ became man to love and understand man. He left His heavenly home to come into a sin-cursed world.

2. Character
