Brother Louie Baker breaks down the text in Matthew 27, how Pontius Pilate washed his hands of any responsibility, then the crowd chose to free convicted criminal Barabbas instead of saving Jesus, who was innocent of all charges. Jesus loves the “bad and ugly” just like that which was exhibited by the Pilate and the crowd, and in each of our lives in one way or another. His love surpasses our “bad and ugly,” leading Him to the cross for the ultimate exchange - our salvation, by His grace. Praise God!
