10 To another the working of miracles

Many are looking for miracles today saying where is the power delivered to the early church. Here in 1 Corinthians we see that the working of miracles is part of the gifts of the spirit. The Spirit is the third person of the trinity.

The God head and the giver of the gifts of the spirit!

Isaiah 55:6–11

6 “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, Call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts: And let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; And to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are my ways higher than your ways, And my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, And the snow from heaven, And returneth not thither, But watereth the earth, And maketh it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: It shall not return unto me void, But it shall accomplish that which I please, And it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Proverbs 25:14 “Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift Is like clouds and wind without rain.”

( a blow hard with nothing to show for it)

1 Corinthians 2:4 “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:”

( spirit 1st) (power afterwards)

1 Corinthians 2:13 “Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

John 4:48 “Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.”

(this is still where a lot of the church is)

Miracles are supper natural events that only God can do and we are the benifactors! Men don’t do miracles. They may have a part in them but they do not preform miracles. God speakes by the holy ghost into a mans heart and he speaks Gods word into the atmosphear by faith and it is completed by God.

God has been preforming miracles using mans word’s from the begining of time .

In Genesis 2:19-20 God created the animals and brought them to adam and what ever adam called them thats what they became. adam call it a chicken and it became a chicken not a goat or a lamb but a chicken.

Exodus 7:8- 9

8 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.

You might say but the sorcerers were able to do the same thing.I would say that though they were able to turn their rod into a snake Moses snake ate their’s alive. And from that point on the sorcerers could not stop anything Moses or Aaron were told to do!

Ten supper natural plagues later God delivered the children of israel out of the hands of pharaoh and the egyptians by drowning them all in the Red sea!

Proverbs 10:16

“The labour of the righteous tendeth to life:

The fruit of the wicked to sin.”

Jesus Changed the water to wine!

This required the melacular structure of the water to be changed into wine by God . it was another wittness to the ability of God the creator of the universe.

John 2:11 “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.”

Proverbs 11: 30

30  The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; And he that winneth souls is wise.

the greatest of all miracles is the wining of a soul

1 Corinthians 14:1–2

1 “Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God:

for no man understandeth him; howbeit

in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.”

1 Corinthians 2:6–7

we speak the wisdom of god in a mystery

6 “Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery,

even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8  Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Physical Relm

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

thats were we usualy stop.( Hidden wisdom )

many have said no one knows what God has prepared for us but that’s not the end Go on to the next verse!

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth,

but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,

because they are spiritually discerned.

Romans 8:24 - 27

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope:(physical)for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not,( spiritual)

then do we with patience wait for it.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: (Our mind can’t comprehind the mind of god)

but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

(prayer language) 27 And he that searcheth the hearts

knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,

because he maketh intercession for the saints

according to the will of God.

Jude 20 :1

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,”

(Good, better , most holy faith)

This is the pintacle of our faith the mountain top ,the ultamate in our faith. Why? because

We pray about

stuff we can’t see

hidden deep down in an area you can’t see

praying in a the holy spirit who you can’t see

accessed by a language you cant understand

and your speaking something you don’t know about

to bring forth a life that is pleasing and in Gods will.

So why are we talking about faith when we are supposed to be hearing about the working of

miracle‘s by the power of God?

Because;

everyone of you are the working of a miracle of God

the greatest miracle of God is the salvation and redmption of man!

It is not the physical healing ,of making the blind to see ,or the deaf to hear, or even the raiseing of the dead , though God has no problem doing that as well,

But it ‘s all about the spiritual healing of making the spiritual blinded eyes to see,

the spiritual deaf ears to hear,

It’s about makeing the spiritual dead to be born again and the redemption of man thru the blood sacrifice of Jesus christ!

You are a spiritual seed that was planted into good ground,

for you were formed of the dust of the ground .

But now are you the sons of God

Jesus told his deciples to lift up thier eyes for the feild’s are already white unto harvest.

It was the Holy spirit that sowed the seed of gods word into your heart .

You were blind until he opened your eyes,

You were deaf until he opened your ears to hear,

he protected that seed,

he cultivated it, he kept it Protected from the weeds of the world

he fertilized it, and he brought it forth good fruit for the master.

A life without the Holy spirit is no more than religon

2 Timothy 3:5 “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

Clouds and wind without rain! ( a blowhard)

Parable of the seed and the sower!

Jesus heavenly name is the word

the word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

Mark 4:14–20

14“The sower soweth the word.

15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.

18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,

19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.”

The seed is the word of God !

The sower is the Holy spirit!

the seed must be planted in good ground in order to recieve a fruitful harvest

the sower scatters the seed over the ground

But their are hiderances making them unproductive

1 Satan steals the word (By the way side)

2 no root ,endure for a time, but when persecution of affliction they fall away. no staying power(stony ground)

3 Weeds, thorns,choke the word it becomes unfruitful

(cares of this life, deceitfulness of ritches ,& lust)

Seed is good , but must come in contact with the ground in order to produce. ground must receive it,and bring forth fruit, Some 30 some 60 some 100

The seed must be planted in good soil to recieve a fruitful harvest.
