Opening and Welcome Statement

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, with great joy and gratitude, I welcome each of you to the Essentials of Biblical Preaching Church Workshop. Today, we gather not just as students of the Word of God but as servants called to proclaim the unchanging truth of Scripture with clarity, conviction, and faithfulness.

This workshop is designed to deepen our understanding of biblical [expository] preaching, equipping us to rightly divide the Word of God and shepherd His people with wisdom and integrity. As we embark on this journey together, I encourage you to open your hearts and minds to the transformative power of biblical preaching. We are honored to have Dr. David Olford with us—a distinguished teacher and preacher whose commitment to biblical [expository] preaching has impacted countless lives. His insights and experience will enrich our time together, providing invaluable guidance as we seek to grow in our calling and ministry.

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude, acknowledging Your sovereign presence in this sacred gathering. We thank You for the privilege of studying Your Word and the calling You have placed upon us to proclaim Your truth with faithfulness and clarity. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and understanding as we embark on this workshop. May Your Spirit illuminate our minds, sharpen our discernment, and deepen our love for Your Word. We pray for every participant that You would open our hearts to receive Your truth and equip us to divide it for the edification of Your Church rightly.

We especially lift Dr. David Olford as he shares with us today. May you anoint his words and use him as an instrument to inspire and strengthen us in the preaching ministry. May this time together deepen our knowledge, transform our hearts, and renew our commitment to Your Gospel.
