GODLY FEAR

FEAR GOD is to have a wholesome dread of ever displeasing him

You Reverence God in response to his Power

Joshua 4:23–24 KJV 1900

For the Lord your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over: That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the Lord your God for ever.

To HIS Goodness

1 Samuel 12:24 “Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.”

HIS JUDGEMENT

Revelation 14:7 “Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

HIS FORGIVENESS

Psalm 130:4 “But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.”

GODLY FEAR leads to wisdom

Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

PURITY

Psalm 19:9 “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”

SATISFACTION

Proverbs 14:27 “The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To depart from the snares of death.”

THE RIGHT PATH FOR YOU

Psalm 25:12 “What man is he that feareth the Lord? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.”
