Our obedience to God reveals our relationship with God. 2:3-6 2. Our loving fellow believers reveals our relationship with God. 7-11 PRACTICAL EVIDENCE OF RELATIONSHIP 3. Obedience and love are possible because of Christ’s work in us. 12-14 4. Loving the world (our own lustful, temporary desires) reveals not being in right relationship with God. 15-17 Obeying God And Loving One Another Reveal A Right Relationship With God. APPLICATION 1. There is hope! Obedience to God and loving one another is possible because of God’s work in us— we cannot do it in our own strength. 2. Who or what forms the foundation for your decision of life? My desires, culture, God, my perspectives, Word of God? It must be God and His Word! APPLICATION 3. My relationship with God is revealed by my relationship with others. 4. Evaluate if there are believers with whom you are living in wrong relationship – what must you do to love them. 5. Live with eternity in mind because living for self only has temporary benefits. Obeying God And Loving One Another Reveal A Right Relationship With God. IS MY LIFE AN EVIDENCE OF WHAT I BELIEVE? OBEY GOD – LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
