VBS - Day 1
The Big Truth - God created everything there is, and yet He still wants to spend time with me.
Zoom In - I am important to God.
Today’s Point - God see’s me.
Before we can try to figure anything out when it comes to God, and understand that God loves us, we must first get to know God and what He has done.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.
First thing first - Everyone has a birthday.
If you have a birthday, raise your hand. (now call it out on 3)
When is God’s birthday? (In the beginning)
Here is what I want to focus on for just a minute before you all go to your classrooms.
Listen to Verse 3 -
3 All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.
Kind of complicated and hard to understand a bit, but here is what we need to know.
God created everything. (what are some things God created)
This includes - Bugs - Fish - Animals - sky - earth - people (you).
God created you!
What does that mean for you -
YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO GOD!
GOD SEES YOU!
God Know’s who YOU are. He know’s your name - your favorite color and even your birthday!
Today in class you are going to learn about one of my favorite passages of scripture, can anyone guess what it is talking about?
It is talking about children coming to Jesus, and today you get to learn all about that!
I am excited for you all to hear all about it!
