Cast your bread upon the waters.
Trust God even when results are uncertain.
Don’t wait for perfect conditions.

Rejoice in the light while you have it.
Especially to the young: rejoice, but remember.
Remove sorrow and sin—life is fleeting.
Remember Your Creator in the Days of Your Youth (
Ecclesiastes 12:1–8
)
Don’t delay spiritual commitment.
A poetic and sobering picture of aging and death.
Life is short; remember God now.

The conclusion: fear God and keep His commandments.
