The Big Truth - God is not OK with sin, and yet He still loves sinners like me.
Zoom In - I can be confident God loves me.
Today’s point - God loves me.
Today you are going to talk about an amazing story.
You are going to talk about a woman that Jesus meet at a well while she was getting water.
This woman had one BIG thing wrong with her, and it is the same BIG thing that we have wrong with us. (SIN)
When we do something we are not supposed to, that is sin.
The bad things, like lying, stealing, not listening. (etc)
This woman was also a sinner.
23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;
Every one of us is a sinner, we have all messed up.
What do you think would happen if i dropped this egg?
It would break, right?
That is like our life… We are broken and we can’t put ourselves back together correctly.
But today, you are all going to learn that YOU don’t have to put yourselves together!
Jesus is able and wiling to do that!
8 But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God knows how to put us back together!
The way He does that is through what Jesus did for all of us. (cross)
