JESUS TAUGHT ABOUT WORRY
Matthew 6:25-34
One day, Jesus saw a crowd of people following Him. Jesus went up on the side of a mountain and sat down. His disciples (helpers) came to Him and Jesus began to teach the people.
Jesus taught many important things that day. One thing He taught about was worry. Jesus knew people worried about many things, like whether they had enough money to buy the clothes and food they needed. Jesus helped the people understand that since God can do something as amazing as creating us, then He will also give us the things we need.
Jesus said, “Think about the birds. Do they have farms and plant food for themselves? No! But God gives them what they need to eat. And think about the wildflowers. They can’t make their own clothes or get a job. But God makes them even more beautiful than the clothes of the richest king. If God cares about things as small as flowers and birds, you can trust (know for sure) that He cares about you, too. He loves you more than birds and flowers.”
The Bible tells us that God promises to provide what we need. God always keeps His promises.

Jesus Taught about worry
Large crowds followed Jesus during His time on earth. One day, when He saw the crowds, Jesus went up on the side of a mountain. After Jesus sat down, His disciples came to Him. Then He began to teach.
Jesus taught many important things that day. One of them was about what people should do when they worry or feel anxious. Jesus knew that people worry about many things, like having enough money to buy the clothes and food they need. He encouraged them to trust that God would provide for their needs.
Jesus explained that there is more to life than food or clothes. Since God created everything there is, He can surely take care of the things we need.
Jesus talked about everyday things to help the people understand what He meant. He said, “Think about the birds. Do they have farms and plant food for themselves? No! But God provides what they need to eat. And think about the wildflowers. They can’t sew their own clothes or get a job. But God makes them even more beautiful than the clothes of the richest king. If God cares about things as small as flowers and birds, you can trust that He cares about you, too. You are worth more than birds and flowers.”
Jesus said, “Worrying won’t add one moment to your life. God knows what you need. He wants you to become a part of His kingdom and seek His righteousness. He will take care of providing what you need.”
The Bible is full of God’s promises to provide what we need. God always has and always will keep His promises.
