Sunday Morning Service Manuscript #1:
Welcome and Opening Prayer
Good morning & welcome to Tapp Methodist Church. Our worship team has led us wonderfully into a spirit of worship this morning. We want to welcome you to worship here at Tapp Methodist.
Next Step card.....coming soon
We exist to reach all of Northeast Texas w/ all of Jesus for all of life.
Let’s pray together:
“Father, we come to you this morning thanking you for Jesus, the payment in full for our sins. As we sing, & as we pray, & as we listen to your Word today, help us to remember Your grace & Your mercy toward us. We pray that you would draw us today to worship you as we exalt Your name. Be exalted in our worship today. Amen.”

Invitation to Prayer, Pastoral Prayer & the Lord’s Prayer

Please take a look at the prayer list in the bulletin this morning. I encourage you to lift up prayers over this list throughout the week. Some specific situations....

Glenda Patterson  - Pray for comfort & peace over us in the loss of her husband
Larry Hardison – Praise. Health scare....recovering
Bobby Kilmer – Battling cancer. Wants to come to church so bad.......lift him up for healing & God’s supernatural comfort

Now, we will open up the prayer rail for those who would like to come up and pray. In the Methodist tradition, the constant need to pray confessions of one’s own sin was emphasized in Wesley’s teaching. & so we use this time to pray over others certainly....but you may want to come in a spirit of personal confession. If the Holy Spirit has convicted you of any personal sin in your own life, then this is a time to deal w/ those as well. The prayer rail is now open.
[Prayer]  “We thank you for Jesus. We pray that the Holy Spirit would guide our thoughts & prayers today & this week. We remember the promise of your Word in James 5:16- “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” We pray that our lives would be marked by righteousness so that our prayers would be made effective. We pray that you would watch over all of those on our prayer list this morning. We pray for comfort, peace & healing over every individual, every family, & every situation. We pray that you would watch over us during this section of our worship where we seek to honor You & praise you through corporate prayer. We hold this prayer up in the name of Jesus, who taught us to pray.......” ---> Lord’s Prayer

Our Father in heaven,  Hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come.  Your will be done  On earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts,  As we forgive our debtors.  And do not lead us into temptation,  But deliver us from the evil one.  [d]For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
