1 Thessalonians 2:13

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.

From the beginning satin's strategy has been the same. Go back with me to the garden. What was Satans approach in his attempt to tear down humanity? He brought into question the validity of God’s Word. “Hath God really said that?

Then he goes in for the kill with a full blown contradiction, “You shall not die”.

These Thessalonians were not swayed by doubt. 

2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is inspired. -God breathed.

All in the greek means all - the Bible does not contain God’s word, The Bible Is God’s Word. 

We are not the judges of the Bible the Bible is the judge over us.

Yet there is not 1 contradiction in the Bible. I Challenge you to find one subject that 3 authors are writing books on that agree completely. 

Over 2000 prophesies in the Old Testament alone! Predicting the future (prophesy is telling the beginning from the end)

In contrast, consider the following revelations of Mohammed that are contained in the Hadith, one of the sacred books of Islam. He wrote:

The earth is flat like a carpet.

The sun sets in a muddy spring.

Stars are closer to earth than the moon.

Water cannot be contaminated by anything.

Drinking camel urine will make you healthy.

A fly in your drink can cure you of disease.

Fever comes from the heat of Hell.

Let’s see what the Bible says for prophecy…

Tyre: The Accuracy of Prophecy

Ezekiel 26:1–14 NKJV

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, ‘Aha! She is broken who was the gateway of the peoples; now she is turned over to me; I shall be filled; she is laid waste.’ “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up. And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers; I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock. It shall be a place for spreading nets in the midst of the sea, for I have spoken,’ says the Lord God; ‘it shall become plunder for the nations. Also her daughter villages which are in the fields shall be slain by the sword. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.’ “For thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I will bring against Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses, with chariots, and with horsemen, and an army with many people. He will slay with the sword your daughter villages in the fields; he will heap up a siege mound against you, build a wall against you, and raise a defense against you. He will direct his battering rams against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers. Because of the abundance of his horses, their dust will cover you; your walls will shake at the noise of the horsemen, the wagons, and the chariots, when he enters your gates, as men enter a city that has been breached. With the hooves of his horses he will trample all your streets; he will slay your people by the sword, and your strong pillars will fall to the ground. They will plunder your riches and pillage your merchandise; they will break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses; they will lay your stones, your timber, and your soil in the midst of the water. I will put an end to the sound of your songs, and the sound of your harps shall be heard no more. I will make you like the top of a rock; you shall be a place for spreading nets, and you shall never be rebuilt, for I the Lord have spoken,’ says the Lord God.

This prophecy deals with the city of Tyre. It was written around 586 B.C 

585 BC - Nebuchadnezzar came down and destroyed the city. Wiped it out. But he continued south towards Jerusalem. 

The city was not scraped clean. It was ruined. Bricks and columns everywhere. 

Nebuchadnezzar did come down but the Lord said in V4. That he would scrape her like the top of a rock….well

225 years later Alexander the Great comes down. What happened was, Alexander besieges the city for 13 years. They have the city surrounded. The people couldn’t continue on. The people went out the back door. They fled to an Island 1/2 mile off the coast. Relocated.

When Alexander broke in he was furious to find the people left. 

He order all the men to take every stone Avery bit of timber and throw it into the sea. 

Build a causeway.

Even Alexander was said to have carried stones on his back to build this bridge to the island. 

He marched out there and killed every person in Tyre. 

The old city is scraped clean. But what about the new city. The prophecy is not yet fulfilled.

Fast forward to 1290 AD - The Crusaders come down from England, France and Germany. They come down to set free the Holy land from the muslim control. 

The Crusaders were driven out after 8 years! But the Muslims said this city is defiled and determined that all of the stones in the New Tyre needed to be thrown into the sea. 

They knocked over the new city and pushed it into the sea. It became a place that fishermen cast their nets to dry. 

Almost 2000 years and the prophesy was fulfilled!

The Prophecies of Jesus

Over 300 in number concerning the first coming of Christ.

Isaiah 7:14 - The way he would be born - A virgin

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”

Daniel 9:24 - Declares the time

““Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.”

Micah 5:2- Tells us the town in which he would be birthed in. - Bethlehem

““But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.””

We read in Psalm 41:9 - How His friend would betray Him “Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.”

We Read in Zechariah 11:12–13 - how he would be sold for 30 pieces of silver 

“Then I said to them, “If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain.” So they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord for the potter.”

And in Zechariah 9:9 - How He enters into Jerusalem riding a colt the foal of an ass (donkey)

““Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.”

That is 8 prophesies rattled off very quickly. 

What is the mathematical probability of these 8 of over 300 prophesies coming true?
