⏳ SERMON OUTLINE:
⏳ SERMON OUTLINE:
1. What Is a “Jesus Freak”?
1. What Is a “Jesus Freak”?
🎵 "What will people think when they hear that I'm a Jesus freak? What will people do when they find that it's true?"
Definition: The world might call a radical Christian a “freak” — someone extreme, different, weird. But Jesus Himself was misunderstood, rejected, and mocked (Isaiah 53:3; John 1:10-11-12).
Biblical Echo: In Acts 4:13, people were astonished by Peter and John’s boldness and realized they had been with Jesus.
Takeaway: A “Jesus Freak” is someone so transformed by Christ that they are unafraid to be different, even if it means being misunderstood.
📖 1 Peter 4:16 – “Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.”
2. Jesus Was a “Freak” to the World
2. Jesus Was a “Freak” to the World
🎵 "People say I’m strange, does it make me a stranger, that my best friend was born in a manger?"
Jesus’ Identity: Born in a stable, raised in a humble town, loved sinners, and flipped religious traditions upside-down (Luke 2:7; Luke 5:31–32).
Rejection: The religious elite called Him demon-possessed (John 8:48) and insane (Mark 3:21).
Truth: Jesus didn’t come to fit in. He came to call people out (Luke 12:51). He lived a radically different life — and calls us to do the same.
📖 John 15:18-19 – “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you… you are not of the world…”
3. We Are Called to Stand Out, Not Blend In
3. We Are Called to Stand Out, Not Blend In
🎵 "I don’t really care if they label me a Jesus freak; there ain’t no disguising the truth."
Bold Witnessing: Paul preached boldly, even in chains (Acts 28:31). Daniel prayed openly, even when it meant the lion’s den (Daniel 6:10).
Unashamed Identity: Being a Christian isn’t just about Sunday worship — it’s about everyday bold living (Matthew 5:14–16).
God Uses the Bold: Noah, mocked for building an ark. Jeremiah, ridiculed for his message. Stephen, stoned for his testimony (Hebrews 11).
📖 2 Timothy 1:7–8 – “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power… Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord…”
4. The Gospel is Offensive — But It’s Also Powerful
4. The Gospel is Offensive — But It’s Also Powerful
Cultural Clash: The Gospel offends pride, sin, and self-sufficiency. That’s why Paul said it is a stumbling block (1 Corinthians 1:23).
But It’s Worth It: It’s also the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16).
Message of Life: If we truly believe the Gospel is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), how can we stay silent?
📖 Galatians 1:10 – “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were… I would not be a servant of Christ.”
5. Let Your Life Preach Louder Than Your Words
5. Let Your Life Preach Louder Than Your Words
🎵 “The high and lofty, they see me as weak / 'Cause I won't live and die for the power they seek.”
Faith in Action: Your life is a louder sermon than your mouth. Walk in love. Walk in truth. Walk in boldness. (James 2:17, Philippians 1:27)
Be Holy Weird: We are called to be set apart — not perfect, but different (Romans 12:2).
Jesus Freak = Jesus Follower: Unapologetically, faithfully, and boldly.

📖 Luke 9:26 – “For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when He comes in His glory…”

🙏 PRAYER:
🙏 PRAYER:
“Lord, make us bold. Let us not be ashamed of the Gospel. Give us courage to stand when the world says sit, to speak when the world says be quiet, and to shine when the world grows dark. Make us true Jesus followers — even if they call us freaks. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
