🎙️ “Wait on You”

👋 INTRODUCTION (2–3 mins)

“Good evening, guys. Today, I want to speak to those of you who are in a season of waiting—waiting for healing, waiting for a breakthrough, waiting for clarity. If that’s you, I believe this word is for you.”
🎵 “I’ve tasted Your goodness; I’ll trust in Your promise… I’m gonna wait on You.”
“Waiting on you is more than a worship song, It’s a faith decleration in the unknown/unseen, a commitment to trust in God’s timing and not our own, and a reminder that God never fails thoes who trust in HIS timing or in other words, Wait on him. The lyrics echo Isaiah 40:31, encouraging us to NOT rush ahead of God, but to trust his timing and process.”
“Let’s turn to Isaiah 40:31…”

🧭 POINT 1: THE STRUGGLE OF WAITING (10 mins)

📖 Isaiah 40:27
“Why do you say… ‘My way is hidden from the Lord’?”
🗣️ “Sometimes it feels like God forgot us. We pray and pray, and it feels like nothing changes.”

➤ Example: Abraham & Sarah

God promised them a son.
But 25 years passed before Isaac was born.
They tried to force it with Hagar. Big mistake.
👉 Truth: When we get impatient, we can create unnecessary pain.
🗣️ “Let me ask you something—how many of us have gotten ahead of God because we couldn’t wait any longer?”

🧠 Illustration: Package tracking

“Ever had a package say ‘Out for Delivery’ all day, but it never comes? That’s how waiting on God can feel.”
“But just because you don’t see the package doesn’t mean it’s not coming.”
Main Point: Waiting tests your faith, but it also builds it.

🧭 POINT 2: THE PROMISE IN THE WAITING (12 mins)

📖 Isaiah 40:31
“…they shall renew their strength…”
🗣️ “This promise isn’t for everyone. It’s for those who wait on the Lord.”
📘 Hebrew Word for ‘Wait’ – Qavah
Means to bind together like rope.
It’s active, not passive. You’re connecting with God in the waiting.

➤ Example: Joseph

He was faithful in Potiphar’s house.
He was faithful in prison.
He waited 13 years before his promise came to pass.
🗣️ “Joseph didn’t waste the wait. He served in the waiting.”

🧠 Illustration: Baking a cake

“If you pull a cake out too early, it collapses.”
“Some of you are still in the oven—and that’s okay. God’s not done with you.”
🎵 Tie-in to song:
“You’re the only one who can…”
👉 Challenge: Can you worship while you wait?

🧭 POINT 3: THE CHARACTER OF THE ONE WE WAIT FOR (10 mins)

📖 Isaiah 40:28
“The Lord is the everlasting God… He does not faint…”
🗣️ “We can wait on God because we know who He is.”

➤ Example: Hannah

She waited year after year.
She was mocked, misunderstood, heartbroken.
But she kept praying—and God gave her Samuel.
God is:
Faithful (Hebrews 10:23)
Unchanging (Malachi 3:6)
Attentive (Psalm 34:15)
🧠 Illustration: The Train
“A train might not be on your schedule—but it’s always on time.”
“God isn’t late. He’s strategic.”
🗣️ “Don’t let impatience cause you to forget God’s perfect track record.”

🧭 POINT 4: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE WAIT (13 mins)

📖 Isaiah 40:31 (cont’d)
“They shall mount up with wings like eagles…”
🗣️ “When we wait well, we rise.”
Results of Waiting:
Wings = Perspective shift
Run = Momentum for your calling
Walk = Daily strength

➤ Example: Disciples in the Upper Room

Jesus told them: “Wait for the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 1:4)
10 days of prayer. Then Pentecost came.
The wait changed the world.
🎵 Quote from song:
“Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord…”
🧠 Illustration: Amazon Prime vs. God
“We treat God like He owes us 2-day delivery. But God is not Amazon—He’s Alpha and Omega.”
🗣️ “Let Him deliver in His perfect time.”
