Family Matters 11 | Who's To Blame For These Crazy Kids? (Exodus 32:15-26)
Flaws (vs.22)
Flaws (vs.22)
“Heart is set of mischief”
Set - to be or become containing as much or as many as is possible or normal.
Mischief - morally objectional behavior; someone who is characterized by wickedness and godlessness.
Proverbs 22:15 “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; But the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.”
Foolishness - a person who lacks good judgment and acts stupid or rashly.
Bound - to fasten or secure with a rope, string, or cord; to engage in plotting or enter into a conspiracy, swear together.
The first child ever birthed into this world has full of hate, jealousy, and envy and was a murderer.
2 Kings 21:1–2 “Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzi-bah. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.”
This is King Hezekiah’s son.
Psalm 51:5 “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me.”
It is the sin nature passed from Adam that enters into every child and produces a gravitation to sin, wickedness, and mischief.
My child is tired, my child isn’t feeling well, it’s the terrible twos, I didn’t really like that food either, he’s strong willed, she’s got red hair and you know what that means, kids will be kids, he’s just sowing his wild oats. YOUR CHILD IS A HEATHEN. IT’S EASY TO BLAME YOUR KIDS FLAWS BECAUSE ALL KIDS ARE FILLED WITH FLAWS!
Faults (vs.23)
Faults (vs.23)
Adherence to the children
They said unto me, MAKE US!
Isaiah 3:12 “As for my people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, And destroy the way of thy paths.”
Oppressors - someone who is in charge of a group of slaves and oversees their labor, often ensuring work by oppression and violence.
Exodus 3:9 “Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.”
The children control the house, control what you do, make your life miserable, beat you, and cause utter chaos everywhere you go.
Absence of a leader
Moses, we wot not what is become of him.
My child’s father isn’t around, my child’s mother isn’t around, if we had a better pastor or sunday school teacher then we would have better kids.
Bad people made me make these decisions about my kids.
Fire (vs.24)
Fire (vs.24)
For absolutely no reason at all, our children are out of control. This calf come out of no where and we don’t know how it got there.
They had good grandparents. They had good parents. I don’t know how they turned out this way.
Eli, Samuel’s sons. (We were serving God. We’re Christians. How could this happen to our children?)
All these kids become Swifty’s and furries and transgenders and drug addicts for no apparent reason. It just happens and no one can control it.
My child is what they are going to be. I have no control over them. I’ve lost control over them. What’s the use?
What or Who is to blame for these crazy kids?
What or Who is to blame for these crazy kids?
Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Train - dedication to develop a person’s behavior by instruction and practice.
Just like Aaron and the calf, time passes, you bring what is necessary to make the golden calf, you take time to mold the golden calf, and when it’s all said and done, you have no idea how you got a golden calf.
Time passes, we bring in what’s needed to train up a crazy child, take time to mold that crazy child, and when it’s all said and done, we have no idea how we got a crazy child.
Ephesians 6:4 “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”
IF YOU DON’T DO THE TRAINING, THE JOB WON’T GET DONE, AND YOUR CHILD WILL BEAR THE CONSEQUENCES FOREVER.
MORE THAN THE CHILD NEEDS TO CHANGE, I NEED TO CHANGE.
WHETHER BY THE THINGS WE HAVE DONE OR LEFT UNDONE, PARENTS, WE HAVE BROUGHT OUR CHILDREN TO THIS PLACE.
AARON, THE FIRE DID NOT DO IT. YOU DID. THE CALF DIDN’T COME OUT ON ITS OWN. YOU TOOK TIME AND FORMED IT, CAST IT, AND ENGRAVED IT. MOSES WAS OUT OF THE CAMP, BUT YOU WERE TO BE THE LEADERSHIP. NOW LOOK WHAT HAS HAPPENED UNDER YOUR LEADERSHIP. AARON, TAKE THE HIT, MAN UP, AND STOP MAKING EXCUSES.
THE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL/DAYCARE CANNOT RAISE YOUR CHILDREN. THE PASTOR IS NOT YOUR CHILDRENS DADDY. YOUTUBE IS NOT TO BLAME FOR YOUR CRAZY KIDS. YOU ARE. NOW LETS DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
IF I DO MY PART, MY CHILD WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT OUTCOME IN ADULT LIFE THAN IF I DO NOT DO MY PART.
Galatians 6:7–9 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
