17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Title: The Power and Purpose of the Kingdom
Subtitle: The Kingdom of God is at Hand!
In our first session, we began to teach on the subject of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus talked about the Kingdom of God/Heaven more than any other topic in the gospels.
Yet we hardly talk about it today…
A kingdom is the domain of a king. The rule of a king.
Kings have all authority and power.
You have ONE king and everyone one and everything serve the ONE king!
In our first lesson, we spoke of are 2 kingdoms that rule…
Throne or Kingdom of God
Throne of Iniquity or Kingdom of Satan
Rule flesh
Rule of Satan
You will serve in one kingdom or the other!
Your actions declare your allegiance!
I want to be a part of the Kingdom of God!
Let’s define the Kingdom of God!
The Kingdom of God is not a place you will go to one day (heaven)
19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; And his kingdom ruleth over all.
The kingdom of God/Heaven is not a place to go when you die…
That is only part of it.
But you will never get there unless you figure out that the Kingdom of God is NOW!
Kingdom of God is sacred service to your king!
If you only think about your King on Sunday’s then your are failing your King!
21 You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.”
The kingdom of God is IN you!
The Kingdom of God is defined by Righteousness, Peace and Joy!
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
In this world of chaos… Live in the Kingdom of God!
Living for God means that you leave the Kingdom of Satan, Iniquity, Flesh, Sin - live in the Kingdom of God.
The problem is many people try running from Kingdom to Kingdom…
Oh it is Sunday… It is my Kingdom of God day.
But on Monday… Live in the Kingdom of Satan!
The Kingdom of God requires us to give it all to our King!
When I give my King my all, He gives my righteousness, peace and joy!
So many who consider themselves christians are not a part of the Kingdom of God!
God is calling you today!
Will you serve the King!
Today! NOW!

I access the Kingdom of God through New Birth.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
When I repented, was baptized in His name, filled with his spirit - I entered and began to serve in a new kingdom!
Jesus preached this from the beginning of his ministry!
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
This is the gospel!
It’s not coming to church on Sunday, it’s serving the King on Monday!
In the Kingdom of God you have access to the Father!
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Whatever I need, have access to HIM!
To many people serve God when they need him…
I want to live in his Kingdom!
Conclusion:
The kingdom of God is in YOU!
