1. Offer of apology. You all are aware of O28 out of Northwest Georgia Presbytery. And you see in the CoC report recommendation 10 to answer it in the negative. I agree with the Committee’s recommendation but would like to share a conversation I had yesterday afternoon with a brother from NW GA who helped craft the overture. I share this reflection with his permission. We had an extensive conversation, and one reason it was helpful is because he shared a particular offense that was not in view when we issued our statement. He felt that, as someone who swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the US with his life, we were positioning him and others like him as the enemy by the links we posted. While that was the furthest from our intent, brothers and sisters, impact matters far more than intent. I was able to apologize to him for that offense and extend that same apology to all those who, like my brother, were offended in the same way. (pause and smile)
2. At MNA we are committed to serving the entire PCA, not just a segment of it. So, I am glad to offer that apology because, as we have been saying in our 10-year vision, we are one church with one mission, and it will take all of us for this vision to come to pass. (big SMILE)
3. So let me share with you how God has been at work as we have pursued this vision to facilitate the growth of the PCA to 3000 congregations by 2033. A wonderful example is reflected in the 4 minute video you’re about to see on the church planting work of the On Wisconsin network…
4. We are excited about these efforts at MNA. We are laser focused on serving the PCA for increased church planting, and robust church vitality. That is, both multiplying churches, and serving existing churches to help mobilize members for local mission. And, family, the Lord is at work. As you see in our report, while we are not yet where we want to be in planting new churches, the PCA is on the uptick with 40 churches planted in 2024. Our work in helping to develop robust pipelines for church planting is bearing fruit with over 150 trained in 2024 through MNA church planter preparation and church planter assessment.
We are growing together for the harvest family. We invite you to do these three things with us.
1. Pray. Pray. Pray. That’s Jesus’s exhortation to us in Matthew 9:38, “Pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest.” Join us in prayer for unity and perseverance in this vision.
2. Give. Give. Give. All of the resources belong to the Lord. And it will take and increase in financial resources to execute on this vision. In 2026 we are, by faith, projecting an ongoing increase in church planting and vitality in. And those projections are reflected in the budget. You see our ministry ask reflected in the AC report and on page 706 of our MNA report. We encourage you to invest in this kingdom mission through your generosity.
3. Engage. Engage. Engage. Partner with our many ministries at MNA to equip your church for obedience to the Great Commission.
