My Text
My scripture for tonight comes from a couple places.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation.
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Outline:
True Faith leads to Action and Obedience
What is true faith? (based on Hebrews 11:1)
Now faith is the assurance or KJV translates it: “the substance”
I like “conviction of”..
Have you ever had a conviction about something… not something that could change but something that would never change.
Right now I have a conviction that this building will hold me up.
Its not absolute but pretty absolute.
I have a conviction that the color coming through this window - is white… it’s not abolute as some here may say it’s blue, or a little yellow with the sun...
But we have convictions! Assurances!
Today many claim to have “faith” or a belief in a god, or in something or someone.
I’m not speaking about a subjecive belief that may be true for you but not for me.
I’m not talking like a “gift” like the gift of healing or of faith, or of prophecy, or miracles.
What I AM talking about is: Faith, or trust in God that’s based on belief in who God is that changes the way you live and interact in the world.
Scripture teaches -
Without Faith, we can’t please God.
Intro- My Faith Thoughts
Intro- My Faith Thoughts
Lately I’ve been getting a fresh look at faith and what it means to trust God.
Maybe you’ve read this passage recently…
With where our church is right now.. I want to challenge us all on: “faith”.
Abram or Abraham as we know him now… was a great of the faith.
Sometimes we put great people on pedestials.
Abram was a man who lived thousands of years ago. He was married, and had a family.
But for Abram-
He experienced much… GENESIS 12-22.. talks much of Abraham.
But think back on when God first called him. I’ve been challenged by that...
In Genesis 12, we find that God instructs Abram to leave his homeland, Ur of the Chaldeans (Mesopotamia) in the middle east..., for a land God will show him. This land later becomes known as Canaan, and God promises Abram that from him will be born a great nation, future blessings, and a lasting covenant. At one point God later says to Abraham - you’ll be like the stars in the heavens!
Abram, obeyed God's call, departs with his family, including his wife Sarai and his nephew Lot, and eventually settles in Canaan.
Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.
Hebrews 11 summarizes it a little differently...
By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to a place that he was going to receive for an inheritance, and he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he lived in the land of promise as a stranger, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the fellow heirs of the same promise.
Anyone here ever went camping?
There’s bugs, rain, building of fires, wind or storms that can wreck things...
I remember being at a “tent city” in Haiti years ago… a low haze of smoke, people milling about, trash pile in the corner, people bartering for food.
Imagine doing that at 75?
Well I’m thirty-one and the thought of that stresses me out.
I like order, I like to know where I’m pillowing my head at night…
I like to know what I’m doing tomorrow, next month, maybe next year.
Order is good… in fact its essential to have that or you won’t have healthy spiritual disciplies! I suppose too much could be a problem.
But God spoke. He trusted, and obeyed.
Ur was home for Abraham… it was all he and his family had known… God said it’s time to leave all that.
What was “UR” Like?
What was “UR” Like?
From what we can tell from archelogy, and other historical sources -
Ur was a thriving, well-developed city… scholars suggest it was a major center of culture, politics, and trade in the ancient Near East.
Archaeology: Archaeological findings indicate that Ur was a wealthy and technologically advanced city, with large homes, intricate jewelry, and a written language.
The ziggurat of Ur was one of the tallest structures of its time, and the city boasted impressive architectural feats such as well-planned streets and a drainage system.
UR was well off!
Economic and Social Life: The economy of Ur was based on agriculture, trade, and craft industries. There were workshops for pottery, textiles, and metalworking. Its markets were bustling, and it likely had contact with other Mesopotamian cities like Babylon and Sumer.
Religion and Culture: The religious life in Ur centered around the worship of many gods. (polytheism)
The ziggurat was the religious heart of the city, where rituals and sacrifices were performed to appease the gods.
Daily Life: In Ur, people lived in multi-room houses made from mud bricks, and the wealthier citizens lived in larger and decorated homes.
The city had a class system, with priests, nobility, workers, farmers, and slaves. The people of Ur were literate, and clay tablets inscribed with cuneiform script have been found that document the city’s administration, trade, and even personal letters.
Here was home.
Then God said - go live in a tent.
There’s a promise… but for now live in a tent.
God says Trust Me.
God says Trust Me.
God says believe what I’m saying… trust my words.
Get up, and get moving. It’s time to go from here.
Couple Thoughts:
Abram left at 75 years of age.
God did give him a promise.
They may have been homesick.
Living in a tent would’ve been ok! IF you liked being on your own!.. Not for people lovers.
I’m sure they had a favorite well, or local “coffee shop”!
We see the ending… but for Abram - His future was completely unknown except what God initally said.
He had no idea where he was headed.
This also meant leaving his job, his income, their family...
It would mean either great poverty, or great riches.
It meant embracing God, and the unknown.
In this act I also believe… Abram left his current religion behind, to obey God.
Joshua 24:2 tells us that Abram’s father was a worshiper of idols, which likely means that idol worship was familiar to Abram as well.
Leaving behind his father’s house meant leaving behind everything that was familiar, including his religion.
This new God, Yahweh, may not have been as well known as the other false gods in his home. Because Abram left his gods, his home, and obeyed God… it was counted as “righteousness”.
I believe he left home, and his religion… and obeyed.

Family Illustration: Tent Pegs
For the last 8 years my family and I have been living in Thomasville, NC.
We’ve been blessed by good people, a good church, friends and family… living in a home Em and I built together. We’ve had definitely some difficult moments along the way… some hard lessons, and wonderful memories.
But God said it’s time to go.
We both knew it was time, after counsel… we decided to temporarily land here, serve, preach, and help prepare the soil for future growth.
Emily and I are grateful for the opportunity to preach, encourage, and lead.
I grew up here, and am back with my wife Emily and family.
As the interim pastor I’m grateful for the opportunity to share, but also excited for these next few months. I firmly believe good things are in store.
Point is -
What’s the point pastor. We didn’t need another sob story.. I’m not sharing for sympathy..
Except to say. It can be very hard to choose to reach down and hold the tent pegs in your hand.
For instance- do we we decorate the home we are in, how long will we be here.
I like knowing where my silverware lives, which drawer my socks are in, and knowing how to get around without google maps.
For noah it meant his entire home he built, his large garden, his wells, his familys homes, all would be destroyed… along with the world… when he obeyed God and entered the ark before the flood covered the entire earth. He chose faith, and obeyed.
God likely isnt calling you like he called Abram. But he is still calling each of us to faith.
God probably won’t ask you to move with complete abandon.
TRANSITION: So what is faith?
Faith… Begins with Believing God
Faith… Begins with Believing God
FAITH: “the word "faith" originates from the Latin word fidere, which means "to trust."”
ILLUSTRATION: US DOLLAR: Ever wonder how we are able to “trust” that when I hand you a piece of green back… it will actually be good money.. It’s just paper!
In simpler terms: The US dollar has value because the US government says - it has value, and its backed by x, y, z… trust it to transact business. It’s called “Fiduciary money” instead of “fiat money”.. because it’s got “backing” supporting money like gold, and other treasures… it’s backed by the good old USA.
While coins may change.
Gods word’s never change.
You can trust God’s words through the pages of holy scripture because its trustworthy. and it’s been tried.
Belief begins with the word.
God said it.
In genesis 1 - What got adam and eve was doubt.
What gets us today… still is doubt.
“Did God Really Say?”
Noah building an ark for how may years?! Whoa!
While everything around him pointed to the fact that it hadn’t rained… do you think Noah ever asked God - you sure it’s gonna rain!?
For noah… he could smell the rain, he could taste it… even though he’d never heard of it.
God said it, and he believed.
Today - BELEIVE GODS WORDS BECUASE THEY ARE TRUE:
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.
Today - BELIEVE GODS WORDS BECUASE THEY ARE GOOD FOR LIFE:
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
Gods word are good for life, training, encouragement - breathed by God himself.
BELIEVE GOD’S WORDS BECAUSE THEY ARE ROOTED IN GODS CHARACTER
If I say something to you today.… how do you know you can believe the words that come out of my mouth? how do you know these words are in your best interest even if they are hard words.
Ultimately it’s based on a persons “character”.
Someone who has been consistiently.... ethical, honest, and blameless, loveing, mercyful, gracious..etc.
The same is true of God.
God’s character encourages me!
He is love
God’s love is patient, unfailing, and pursuing. He proved this by sending His Son: “But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8, ESV). That kind of love means we’re never abandoned, never forgotten, and always being shaped by a Father who genuinely wants our best—even when life feels hard. ;
He is Good
His goodness means His plans for us are always for our ultimate benefit. His goodness isn’t just seen in blessings, but in His constant presence, wise timing, and good correction. Everything He allows comes from a heart that is perfect. This gives us peace in hardship, because we know He’s never cruel or careless. As Psalm 100:5 says, “For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.”
He is in control
His sovereignty reminds us that nothing happens without His knowledge and power. He reigns over all current kings! Nothing surprises Him, nothing escapes His rule, and nothing can overturn His will if he makes it so! We may not always understand what God is doing, but we can trust that He sees the big picture.
His sovereignty assures us that no hardship is wasted and no moment is meaningless. VERSE: “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” - Prov 19:21
He is holy
Because He is holy, He never lies, never fails, and never has a bad attitude, or bad day. His holiness guarantees that everything He does is right, even when we can’t see it yet. Earthly judges can get it wrong but our heavenly judge never does. As Isaiah 6:3 declares, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!”
That holiness is not distant—it draws us to trust Him, worship Him, and walk in confidence, knowing we belong to a God who will never compromise or fail.
Today you may be facing some overwhelming circumstances.
Yancy “Where is God when it hurts”. Declares this is a question that C.S. Lewis Asked, that joni earickson tada, and others… ask:
It’s a question that every suffering person eventually asks. Where is God and does he care?
Yes - God’s very character.. who he is cares deeply!
He loves you and wants what’s best for you.. and me.
We can believe! in his words.
WRAPUP FAITH BEGINS WITH>>>>
Faith begins with BELIEF.
Faith roots:
LEXHAM COMMENTARY: Faith is rooted in the unseen identity and promises of God in Christ, and it is so sure of them that it considers them fully established realities, placing its hope in them completely.
New Home: Now Tent Pegs.
Where Abraham and Sara - would sleep that night, Abram may not have known… but he obeyed.
And he knew God would provide, God would guide… God would direct his steps.
Abraham - considered “the promised land” a fully established reality
The foundation was belief in God’s words!
Faith is proven He believed.
Faith… Begins with Belief in What God Says.
Faith… Begins with Belief in What God Says.
Faith… is Proven by Being Active
Faith… is Proven by Being Active
STORY:
There’s a story in a book by Becky Keep about her son -
They were missionaries to the Philippines leading dozens of churches and church plants. Now they lead Shepherds Global Classroom.
In 1997 our newborn son, Jessie was discovered to have eye cancer. During his four year battle with this disease, which resulted in blindness, I strongly believed that our returning to the Philippines would be contingent upon whether or not he retained his sight. I stated to Tim very confidently on several occasions that blindness would be the unmistakable “closing of the door.” I mean, who takes a blind child to a third world country to live? Here in the United States there are seemingly endless resources for the physically disabled, but I just couldn’t imagine how God could provide what Jessie needed in such an underdeveloped country.”
Humanely speaking this return made no sense. We had no idea how Jessie would be educated, how we would be able to afford the equipment needed for raille transcription, or who would do the braille transicription. We knew only two things. One, we were supposed to return. Two, the Lord would provide.
Later God does indeed go on to provide a teacher who was only 15 minutes from their home in the philippines, an expenisve new typewritter would be given to them to help translate his entire schooling into bralle, friends would be made with children who spoke another language, and grace would be given to both the parents and the child....
They said, “as God’s purposes for each of our familes unfolds, our trust in his power will increase… little by little.” Every family can experience the power of God. Every Christian family needs it’s own faith stories - unique and distinctive moments when God shows up!”
Today as I think about the Keep family and their impact now around the world through the faith, obedience, and grace of Jesus.… It would’ve never happened if they hadn’t taken a blind boy to the Phillipines.
Faith is proven by being ACTIVE.
We must take a step.
ACTIVE BY MOVING.
ACTIVE BY MOVING.
So it seems… that as I began studying down through
Hebrews 11 - we call the HERO CHAPTER.
We find a lot of Active Obedient Belief.
Abel: Offered a more acceptable sacrifice to God
Enoch: Walked in daily relationship with God and was taken up to heaven
Abraham: Left his homeland in obedience to God's call, trusting in His promises even without seeing what was ahead at all.
Moses: Chose to suffer with God's people rather than enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin, acting on faith in a God who WILL reward!
Israelites: Crossed the Red Sea by faith, trusting God to deliver them from Egypt’s huge army behind them.
Gideon: Led Israel to a huge victory with a puny army, demonstrating faith in God’s power as he chose to obey God
Samson: Delivered Israel through acts of strength. Despite his flaws - he still is in the Hebrews 11 hall of faith!… why? Because he showed faith in God in his final moments.
David: Defeated Goliath, and the lion, and the bear.... by faith, trusting in God to overcome the enemy.
Jesus and the Blind Man - After Jesus puts mud on the blind mans eyes… Jesus says God wash… The blind man activates his faith by OBEDIENCE, Washes, and is healed.
You and I - I even thought about baptism… here…
All throughout scripture in Acts - believers are saved… and are baptised!
While baptism doesn’t save us… It’s almost like… God is saying - you belive me huh?
ok - Prove it!
Show me off to the world, declare to all your friends, family, or those around that you are following me! Declare to the world that we are following Jesus.” No Turning Back!!
Acts 2:38 – “Repent and be baptized…”
Even Jericho Fell - after they marched. Joshua 6:1– By faith the walls of Jericho fell… after they had been marched around for seven days.
The Israelites and Manna - Exodus 16:4 “Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.”
God gave them bread in the wilderness! But it required faith… and gathering!
All In faith that God would send enough for tomorrow.
If they lacked faith they gatherd more - it molded.
Sometimes I think that we what potato couch religion.
When God calls us to more.
He calls us to active obedient faith.
ACTIVE: IS 1) to put something into motion; 2) a military encounter to stop hostile forces; 3) to cause change. These are definitions we can use for active faith.
It’s not passive.
QUOTE:
A mere profession of faith proves nothing as to its reality; only action can demonstrate faith’s genuineness.
Active Faith — Bonhoeffer:
Active Faith — Bonhoeffer:
Dr. Dan Glick - recently posted.. about visiting Bonhoeffers grave… an influencial pastor who was shot by the germans for his faith.
"When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die."—D. Bonhoeffer"
Silence in the face of evil is itself evil." —D. Bonhoeffer
Flossenburg Concentration Camp was the site of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's execution, a consequence of his courageous opposition to the Nazi regime and its horrific actions. He was hanged in the camp's courtyard on April 9, 1945. The American forces arrived and liberated the camp on April 23, but tragically, it was too late to save Bonhoeffer.
However, Bonhoeffer said this about death in a sermon he preached in London some years before:
“No one has yet believed in God and the kingdom of God, no one has yet heard about the realm of the resurrected, and not been homesick from that hour, waiting and looking forward joyfully to being released from bodily existence. Whether we are young or old makes no difference. What are twenty or thirty or fifty years in the sight of God? And which of us knows how near he or she may already be to the goal? That life only really begins when it ends here on earth, that all that is here is only the prologue before the curtain goes up—that is for young and old alike to think about. Why are we so afraid when we think about death? . . .
Who knows whether, in our human fear and anguish we are only shivering and shuddering at the most glorious, heavenly, blessed event in the world? Death is hell and night and cold, if it is not transformed by our faith. But that is just what is so marvelous, that we can transform death.”
Even in the face of death itself - like Bonhoeffer - we can activate faith, rise up… and we be transformed.
Faith is proven by being active.
Brief Point - Also, ACTIVE WHEN WE SIT.
Brief Point - Also, ACTIVE WHEN WE SIT.
Sometimes sitting is what God means when he says “Get active”.
"Be still, and know that I am God" comes from Psalm 46:10
For me - I find it easy to be active.
I find it hard to be still.
It actually can take more self control to be still then to be active.
Choosing to sit and wait, or sit and be still is most certainly an active choice.
It can be BRUTAL.
Its especially true when the things playing out before our eyes don’t always make sense.
Noah watching the flood waters rise, or Abraham saying goodbye to all his family, home, and friends.
Whether God calls you to activity, because your tendency is to be passive. Or to stillness, because your tendency is to active.
FAITH IS PROVEN BY BEING ACTIVE.
FAITH IS PROVEN BY BEING ACTIVE.
Faith… is Maintained by Reminders
Faith… is Maintained by Reminders
Ever need maintenance on your vehicle.
Ever need maintenance on your vehicle.
We all have to do maintenance from time to time.
Right now I’ve got a loose flapping plastic thing..
I’ve got a paint job that’s turned bad!..
I’ve replaced my shocks, brakes, tires, hood, paint, bulbs, new radiator, even cruize control..
Sometimes our soul needs medicine.
The Road Less Traveled
“The symptoms and the illness are not the same thing. The illness exists long before the symptoms. Rather than being the illness, the symptoms are the beggining… of it’s cures. Those “Symptoms”… is really a phenomenon of grace - a gift of God, a message to us… to initiate self-examination, and repair.”
What lights are blinking on the dashboard of your soul?
Feed Reminders - From his word.
As one professor shared with me take spiritual medicince daily for the spiritual ills that bind.
Let them not escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart.
For they are life to those who find them,
and healing to all their flesh.
Find a verse that applies to your need and drink deeply
Feed Reminders - From God’s people
I’ve been reading - a number of books… all to feed me things… that I think I’m needing.
I’ve been listening as I’ve asked questions and heard statements from Good preaching, or conversations in my life.
I’ve been drinking from storys of God’s people about how God provided for them, god met their need, he gave them grace for their journey.
One generation shall commend your works to another,
and shall declare your mighty acts.
We NEED Testimonies! Why? Because they feed our souls!
It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
Maybe their prayers for healing, or prayers for relief of pain wasn’t answered… but God still was there he was still good, still kind, still in control. Reminders.
From history
Look back on your life - how has God provided, protected, or given your purpose.
How has his word encouraged you?
Psalm 75:1 “We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds.”
I wonder what would happen if in every service across america - at least one person stood up and recounted how God helped them that week.
I wonder what would happen if they did that with a brother or sister that week.
God is working! Share it!
WE ALL FORGET - RECALL AND REMIND!
Do you ever have to leave for yourself stickynotes?
Sometimes if I’m in the car and I can’t write it down I’ll do a simple guesture.
I’ll cross my fingers… why because I need reminded.
WE humans are forgetful!
Wether your a young person who’s in college uncertain about the bills of next semester.
Your a middle age parent who is in the thick of lifes daily tasks and aren’t sure about how to give wisdom in the hard questions of life. Or are struggling to pay the bills as costs go up.
Wether your an empty nester where life has been a bit more quiet… which means more time to do, and go… but also more time to think.
Or an older saint who is entering those “legacy” years… where you have time to give, and pray, and share… to those before.
Faith... Believes for the Future
Faith... Believes for the Future
None of these greats… saw. But yet they believed…
...and it was counted to them as righteousness.
1 Corinthians 13:12 “For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.”
We can’t make out details.
But they knew.
Recently I was spraying - using a commercial sprayer:
And the fans were running and the room was fogging over.
I was spraying overhead, and my glasses were getting covered.
My mask, and suit was getting filthy.
Soon all I could makeout was forms, shapes.
I was spraying a whole roof system with a sealant…
Every now and then I’d pull those glasses off and glance to make sure I was spraying the right thing.
It was blurry.
Much like that -
Every now and then in Abrahams life I feel like God gave him a glance of what was to come.
But it was still blurry....he lived with tent pegs in hand.
In the midst of the blurry…
Keep in mind the future reward.
Faith Believes for a Future reward.
Faith Believes for a Future reward.
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
He rewards.
Corrie ten Boom – Forgiving the Nazis
Corrie ten Boom – Forgiving the Nazis
STORY: Corrie ten Boom was a Dutch Christian watchmaker who, along with her family, helped many Jews escape the Nazi Holocaust during World War II. Eventually, she and her family were arrested. Corrie survived the concentration camps, but her beloved sister Betsie died there.
Through her suffering, Corrie became a living testimony of trusting God when His presence seemed hidden.
After the war, Corrie spoke around the world about forgiveness—even forgiving a former Nazi guard who had abused her. She often traveled sharing her story of forgiveness and God's providence. During her talks, she would bring out a piece of embroidery—beautiful on one side, chaotic on the other.
Corrie would say:
“Although the threads of my life have often seemed knotted, I know by faith that on the other side of the embroidery there is a crown.”
She would then hold up the tangled back of the huge rug and explain:
“We see the underside, the messy part. But God sees the top – His masterful design. And one day, we’ll see it too.”
This morning:
We can’t see that back - but we can trust God that what hes making is for our Good and his glory.
We can believe his words! we can actively trust and remind ourselves to obey what God is calling each of us to.
I’m not sure what God is asking of you…
I’m sure it’s not as daring as Abram and leaving UR.
Or as terrible as corrie tenboom.
For Abraham - Through his lenage we have the israelite nation the Jews… and many in our world.
For Noah - he helped save the world.
For you and I… like Corrie Ten Boom. Only God knows what he’s doing in our life.
Abraham looked forward to a heavenly city built by God (Hebrews 11:10).
Noah received the righteousness that comes by faith and a new beginning (Hebrews 11:7).
Corrie ten Boom awaited the crown of life and reunion with Christ and her sister in heaven (James 1:12).
ETERNAL HOPE STORY:
(some) Muslims have a funeral custom that symbolically expresses their view on death.
When the boy is laid out, close friends and family encircle the casket and stand quietly, looking at the dead person. There are no tears, no flowers, no singing. Muslim sisters pass around small trays from which everyone takes a thin, round peppermint candy. At a given signal the onlookers pop the candies into their mouths, and as the candies slowly melt the funeral-goers reflect on the sweetness of the life they are commemorating. When the candy is gone, that too has meaning, for it symbolizes the end of life. When it simply dissolves, there is no more.
Someone said… of a person… “I remember one evening in a Make Today Count gropu when a woman named Donna, who was in the final stages of leukemia, mentioned how much she was anticipating heaven. The comment provoked an awkward response from the group: A long silence, a cleared throat, a few rolled eyes. The social worker then steered the discussion toward how Donna could overcome her fears and progress toward the acceptance stage. The author said.. they left that meeting with a heavy heart… is this all our world offeres??
We have a bright future - an eternal REWARD!!
One day we will join ranks with the millions of believers throughout time and eternity.
One day - we will stand along side Abraham, Corrie-Ten-Boom, maybe your loved one…
No lame mints here… we have eternal hope, found in JESUS!
saying with a loud voice,
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
Through our faith in God.
Christian faith, we can belive what GOd says:
When he says: Come unto me all ye who are weary and hevy laden and I’ll give you rest!
When he says “All have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.
When he says “ Repent and be baptised.!
When he says “enter into the joy of the lord!”
In Jesus there is life. There is HOPE.

If you don’t know him you can - Committ your life repent and turn from your sins to a true and living God. In your heart you say YES to God.
Wherever he leads you, no matter the cost. Yes. Make that choice to follow Jesus!
Today - maybe you’ve been a Christian a while - but God’s calling you as well to more!
You’ve struggled with believing, or with actively obeying, or with reminding yourself when your knees begin to shake, or with believing in the wonderful FUTURE reward!!
BEGIN PLAYING SOFTLY: SONG: Pass me Not Oh Gentle Savior
