Welcome family and friends to this beautiful day, a day of celebration and love. Kevin and Traci thank you for sharing this day with them, and celebrating their love and the covenant of marriage they are making today.
A couple of announcements before we start. -
• Please put your phones on silent and put them away. Today is not about getting the best picture, but it is about Kevin and Traci entering the covenant of marriage.
• Secondly, the playground is closed for kids and adults during the ceremony.

This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Let us pray,
Holy Trinity we call on you today to perfect our worship, our vows, and our covenant. We recognize that we are incapable to offer you perfect and holy worship. We ask that the Lord Jesus, our great High Priest take our words, vows, and covenants and perfect them, offering them to the Father as pure and Holy worship.
We pray this in the name of the Father, the son, and the Holy Spirit.

MESSAGE - PASTOR STEVEN
Dear friends and family,
we are assembled here today in the presence of God to join Kevin Miller and Traci Langan in holy marriage, which is instituted by God, regulated by His commandments, blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ, nourished by the Holy Spirit, and to be held in honor among all people.
Let us remember that God has established and set part marriage as worship to Him, as a means of expanding His Glory, and for the welfare, joy, and pleasure of His children. Our Savior has declared, that a man shall leave his father and mother and be untied with his wife.
By His Apostles, he has instructed those who enter into marriage to cherish a mutual esteem and love; to bear the infirmities and weaknesses of one another; to comfort each other in sickness, trouble, and sorrow, in household and temporal things; to pray for and encourage each other in things which pertain to God; and to live together as heirs, king and queen of the grace of life.
MARRIAGE IS A COVENANT OF LOVE THAT BINDS A MAN AND WOMAN TOGETHER IN GOD.
SOLOMON WROTE OF THE POWER OF LOVE,
Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, its jealousy as enduring as the grave. Love flashes like fire, the brightest kind of flame. Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers drown it. If a man tried to buy love with all his wealth, his offer would be utterly scorned.
You see, Love is the power of creation, love is the voice calling light out of darkness.
Love was the one who calmed the storm, raised the dead, and willingly died in our place.
As the Apostle John put it,
God is Love!
WHEN A MAN AND A WOMAN SHARE IN THE POWERFUL FORCE OF LOVE, THEY ARE IN FACT SHARING IN THE ENERGIES OF GOD, HIS DIVINE NATURE.
As love overtakes you, you will find -
The other becomes more important than self.
That the treasures of this world pale in comparison to the company of your love.
That pain, sorrow, tribulation and poverty become bearable in the presence of your love.
YET THERE IS MORE TO LOVE THA SIMPLE FEELINGS.
The Apostle John also wrote,
Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
You do not fall into love rather, you commit to love!
Marriage is a vow to be with one another no matter what you face.
It is a covenant to face the storms and trials together, hand in hand.
It is a covenant of honesty, devotion, fidelity, monogamy.
It is a covenant between a man, a woman, and the Triune God.
A time will come when youthful passions fade- but love will stand.
Times of sorrow will come- but love will secure the future.
Doubt will fill your minds - but love will stand fast.
Love is not an emotion, it is a bond built by God that can withstand the powers of hell and the floods of life.
Love is the participation in the Divine Nature.
And marriage is the covenant that allows true love to blossom.
THE COVENANT OF MARRIAGE ALLOWS FOR THE PASSIONS OF LOVE TO BE CONTAINED AND FOCUSSED.
Giving warmth, light, and security.
Allowing the husband and wife to enjoy one another fully without shame.
Intimacy with security of fidelity.
Becoming one without shame in the presence of God.
MARRIAGE IS LIKE A GARDEN AS WELL.
Marriage allows love to fully blossom - from passion to life long devotion.
As Paul wrote,
Colossians 3:12–14 NASB95
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
Marriage is where love is planted to mature and to grow into a flowering plant that offers life and beauty.

Kevin and Traci,
Today you will be making promises to one another and to God. These promises will be the bedrock of your love and give your love the ability to grow and mature.
Do not take these promises lightly. For not only are you making them to one another but, you are making them to God as well.
Today you are making a covenant between three, between you two and our Triune God.
Your family, loved ones, and friends are all here but the most amazing and honored guest is the Holy Spirit.
As God gave Adam and Eve to one another today, the Holy Spirit is giving you to one another.
Let us pray,
Let us pray,
Holy God, seal on to Kevin and Traci’s hearts these covenant words they are about to declare to one another.
Be their strength to overcome all obstacles the enemy will throw at them.
Be their guard, watching over their minds, and words.
Be their love, sharing your grace and kindness to through them to one another.
Be their Lord, directing their marriage, life, and steps allowing their unity to grow stronger each day.
In the name of Jesus we pray,

Wedding rehearsal - 5 pm be there at 4:45 pm
