“I want to live a life worth dying… You gave your Son, so I’ll give my life.”Josiah Queen
Have you ever stopped and asked yourself, “What is my life really worth?” Not in terms of dollars, likes, followers, or what others say—but in light of eternity. What kind of life am I building? One that simply survives… or one that reflects something bigger than me?
Josiah Queen's lyric echoes the cry of every heart that has been awakened by grace: “If Jesus died for me, then I want to live for Him.”
We live in a world that constantly tells us to find our worth in what we do, what we wear, who we know, or how we perform. But the cross tells a different story. It tells us: You were worth dying for.
Not because of your perfection. Not because of your resume. Not because of your religious habits. But because of His love.
Jesus saw your brokenness, your shame, your sin, and still chose the nails. He chose the cross not because you were flawless… but because He is.
So the question today is no longer, “Am I worth it?” The real question is: Am I living like His death mattered?
Is my life the kind of life that reflects His sacrifice? Am I living in such a way that if someone looked at my story, they’d see His grace, His fire, His purpose burning in me?
Let’s be honest—many people are breathing, but not really living. We’re surviving, coasting, numbing, scrolling, existing... But that’s not why Jesus came. He didn’t die so you could exist—He died so you could live. And not just live... but live fully, boldly, and eternally.
So today, let’s look at how we can live a life worth dying for. Not to earn God’s love—but to respond to it.
Let’s open our hearts and our Bibles, and discover what it means to live a life that burns with holy fire, values every moment, and reflects the glory of the cross.

1. You Were Bought With a Price

📖 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
“You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
Your life matters because Jesus paid the ultimate price for you.
The cross wasn’t cheap. His blood proves your value.
We often ask, “What’s my worth?” But God already answered: worth dying for.
🎵 “I’ve been living on borrowed time / You gave me Yours, now I’ll give you mine.”
🗝 Application: Stop living like you’re worthless. You were bought. You are His.

2. Burn with Holy Fire

📖 Romans 12:11
“Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.”
“Fervent” in Greek means “to boil” or “burn hot.”
Josiah sings: “I want to burn with holy fire.”
This is about living with passion, purpose, and purity.
🗝 Application: Don’t be lukewarm. Be ablaze for God. Let your worship be more than songs—let it be sacrifice.

3. Life is a Vapor—Live Now

📖 James 4:14
“What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”
“Life is a vapor,” Josiah sings. That’s biblical truth.
We wait for the perfect moment to surrender—but what if that moment is now?
You don’t get to decide how long your life is, but you can decide how deeply you live it.
🗝 Application: Live urgently. Love deeply. Obey now. Don’t waste your vapor.

4. Live to Reflect the Cross

📖 Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”
A “life worth dying” isn’t flashy. It’s faithful.
It’s about living a crucified life—letting your story reflect His sacrifice.
🎵 “If You thought I was worth dying for… Then I want to live for You.”
🗝 Application: Every moment, every breath is a chance to say, “Jesus, this life is Yours.”

CONCLUSION: You’re Not Just Saved—You’re Sent

Your story isn’t just about what Jesus did for you— It’s about what He wants to do through you.
So ask yourself today:
🔍 Am I living a life worth His death? 💡 If He gave His life for me, will I give mine to Him?

ALTAR CALL / RESPONSE

“Lord, help me live a life worth dying for. Set me on fire. Use my time, my gifts, my story for Your glory. I surrender.”
🎵 (Optional: Play the song softly in the background)
“You gave Your Son, so I’ll give my life…”
