Introduction
Greetings…
The Law of the Lord provides for the faithful child of God a pathway to a fulfilled and joyful life here in this life that leads to the next.
1 Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! 2 Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart
11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
In this lesson I want us to consider how this life is so satisfying and joyful or blessed by God’s word.
The law of the Lord blesses us and allows us to live a satisfying and happy life by providing us with …
Guidance In Righteousness
Guidance In Righteousness
It Directs Our Way To Holiness
It Directs Our Way To Holiness
The law of God provides a clear path to righteousness for us so that we can secure our eternal future with God.
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
133 Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
48 The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.

Wisdom In This Life
Wisdom In This Life
Understanding Provides A Lot For Us
Understanding Provides A Lot For Us
The law of the Lord provides us with wisdom and understanding so as to live a satisfying life knowing it provides so much for us.
98 Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me. 99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation. 100 I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.
104 Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.
130 The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.
It provides wisdom that provides for us a shield in God who walk according to God’s wisdom.
6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; 7 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity
Wisdom and understanding delivers for us protection, promotion, prestige, perpetuity.
5 Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. 7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. 8 Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her. 9 She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.
Protection - she will keep you and guard you.
12 For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.
Promotion - she will exalt you.
15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Prestige - she will honor you.
35 The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace.
Perpetuity - she will place a graceful garland, a beautiful crown on you.
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Hope & Encouragement
Hope & Encouragement
Confidence Begats Strength
Confidence Begats Strength
The law of the Lord provides us with hope and encouragement allowing us to live a satisfying life while here on this earth.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in your rules.
49 Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope.
74 Those who fear you shall see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in your word.
81 My soul longs for your salvation; I hope in your word.
114 You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.
It was this hope Paul had in prison that led him to confidently and with great strength say…
13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Paul and the rest of us can have this hope and encouragement in the law of the Lord because of the promises of God in such.
10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

Invitation
1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; 2 but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.
6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
