Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wondered…
“Why am I here?”
“What’s my purpose?”
“Do I even matter in this big, chaotic world?”
If we’re honest, we’ve all been there.
Moments when life feels like a puzzle missing its final piece.
Moments when the path ahead is foggy and the silence of God feels louder than the noise around us.
Michael W. Smith captured that feeling in his song, “Place in This World.”
He sings:
“The wind is moving, but I am standing still… a life of pages waiting to be filled.”
That lyric? That’s life for so many of us.
Trying to move forward, trying to find direction, trying to understand why God put us here.
But here’s the truth I want to speak over you today:
God doesn’t leave us guessing.
You’re not an accident. You’re not just wandering. You’re not lost.
You have a purpose.
You have a place.
And God is more committed to showing it to you than you are to finding it.
Today, we’re going to dive into what it means to find your place in this world — not through popularity, not through perfection, but through the presence of the One who made you.
(again)
Let’s go to the Word and see what God has to say about your purpose, your path, and your place.

3. Purpose Is Found in the Presence of God
3. Purpose Is Found in the Presence of God
Our ultimate “place” is not just a job, a title, or a role — it’s a relationship.
John 15:4-5: Abide in Christ. That’s where you discover who you truly are.
Jesus gives us identity before we ever step into assignment.
4. Your Place Isn’t Just About You
4. Your Place Isn’t Just About You

✨ CLOSING CHALLENGE:
✨ CLOSING CHALLENGE:
You don’t have to have it all figured out to be on the right path.
God is less concerned about where you are and more concerned about who you’re becoming in Him.
📿 ALTAR MOMENT:
📿 ALTAR MOMENT:
Play the song “Place in This World” quietly in the background. Invite people to reflect:
Where am I searching for meaning?
Have I tried to find my place apart from God?
Am I willing to trust Him even when I can’t see the full map?
