What is the most important thing you own?
Interseting question to consider. I will give you a couple moments to think but this is a rhetorical question.
A lot that sounds good, may not be good.

This is why we must pray for discernment.

I believe this is the “editor”, compiler of the book. I believe any editor of Scripture was inspired by the Holy Spirit to do the work. Job 28 sets up the rest of the book and becomes a foreshadow of when God finally speaks.

Part of the point of this chapter is to say it was not because of justice that the world was created. God is just but he is more than that. The world has order because of the wisdom of God.
But God made the earth by his power;
he founded the world by his wisdom
and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.
Wisdom cannot be found by human efforts.

Try as we do we cannot get wisdom on our own. We may gain knowledge but wisdom is different.
To fear must also to trust.

We see the verse and otehrs like it: fear the Lord and we must. We must remember always who He is. But it is not just about knowing who he is. Satan and his forces know who he is but do not fear. John Walton brings out this point that fearing God means we must trust him.

This is nto what Job is doing and many times neither do I.

We do not just fear God we must live differently.
Say no to sin and evil.

We cannot say we are trusting Jesus when we are not following His commands.
Jesus desires us to be formed into His image.
