Introduction: Friends, the song that you sang as you entered “God Sees Me” is the song that you’ll be learning this week to share on Friday night!
Also, friends, we’re going to be learning a song that we’re going to share on Sunday morning with the church family of this church entitled “I Believe Jesus Saves” - we’ll also be learning more about this song this week.
Each night after tonight I’ll be sharing with you more about this song so that you can understand it better.
And, to help you remember the things that you’ve learned, I’ll be asking you questions about what we considered.
If you answer my questions correctly, you will receive one of my favorite candies: smarties (when I was your age, I used to pretend like these were super pills that gave me super powers!)
Friends, in our song that we’re learning, we sang “God sees me and He knows what I’m thinkin’”. We’re going to reflect on that fact that God knows your thoughts.
Psalm 139:2 “2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar.”
Friends, before you can even think about a thing, God knows about it!
Friends, God knows what you’re thinking now and what you will think tomorrow.
He knows when you’re scared.
He knows what you like and hope for.
He knows the things that you want to do in the future.
Friends, no one else knows your thoughts like what God does because God sees our heart.
1 Samuel 16:7 “7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.””
If God knows what you’re thinking, then there’s nothing about you that He does not know!
Friends, God knows both the good things and the sinful things about you.
You can’t hide your sin (define) from God.
Thankfully, He has sent Jesus to save us from our sins - believe on Him to save you today!
Friends, if you have believed on Jesus to save you, God still knows everything about you.
When you sin - confess it to Him.
When you’re afraid, pray and ask for His comfort and courage.
Conclusion: Friends, God knows everything about you. Repeat with me, “God knows me.”
Tomorrow we’re going to learn more about our other song, “I Believe Jesus Saves.”
