Operating in Faith

Faith knows God has given us everything WE NEED

2 Peter 1:3 NLT
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.
ESV 2 Peter1:3
2 Peter 1:3 ESV
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,
Power- Possession of controlling influence; often understood as manifesting influence over reality in a supernatural manner
Hebrews 11:1 NLT
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
Faith is a reality by which we live understanding that God has given us everything we need for life (Abundant life) and Godliness- Godly living!
Everything we need comes through faith-
WE have received all of this by coming to know Him.” Or “Through the knowledge of Him”
2 Peter 1:4 NLT
And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
When you realize that you aren’t lacking you stop searching for things God has already given to you

Faith Remembers the Source of your Strength

Ephesians 6:10 ESV
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
The battles that are done in faith are done in the strength of the Lord-
This is David’s confession-
1 Samuel 17:37 NLT
The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!” Saul finally consented. “All right, go ahead,” he said. “And may the Lord be with you!”
1 Samuel 17:46–47 NLT
Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!”
David’s words match His faith- and were evident in His action

Faith knows That Victory comes From God

Ephesians 6:10–17 NLT
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The Battle is done through the Anionting
when we read the stories of the Old Testament They are written for us
Faith understands that God still anoints our lives to defeat the Devil!

Faith is always evident in your Actions-

What do you do when situation arise in your life that seem to much to bear

2 Chronicles 20:12 NLT
O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.”
Faith isn’t just not facing problems, it is turning to Lord who is your help
The Lord Who is your Strength
How do you handle your fears?
How do you quiet your anxieties?
How do you crush your depression?
Psalm 43:5 NLT
Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!

Faith look at trials as an opportunity for the Lord to Prove Himself yet again

James 1:2–4 NLT
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
Trial and tribulation are opportunities for people of Faith
