Introduction: Friends, the song that you sang as you entered “Spinnin’” is the song that you’ll be learning this week to share on Friday night!
Also, friends, we’re going to be learning a song that we’re going to share on Sunday morning with the church family of this church entitled “I Believe Jesus Saves” - we’ll also be learning more about this song this week.
Each night after tonight I’ll be sharing with you more about this song so that you can understand it better.
And, to help you remember the things that you’ve learned, I’ll be asking you questions about what we considered.
If you answer my questions correctly, you will be able to pick either a Blow-pop or a Tootsie Roll pop.
Friends, in our song that we’re learning, we sing about something that only God can do.
Friends, the Lord has created all things, to include the sun, moon, and stars.
Acts 14:15 “15 and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We are also men of the same nature as you, and preach the gospel to you that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.”
However, friends, our song reminds us of something else that God is doing now.
“He keeps it going ….”
“He keeps it spinnin’, ….”
Both of these things refer to the fact that God provides for His creation!
Acts 14:17 “17 and yet He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.””
Friends, God provides for His creation, even things that we like.
Friends, from Acts 14:17, Paul shares that God has a purpose for how He provides for His creation.
Friends, it would be so that in seeing God’s goodness through how He provides we would recognize that only He could do this.
Friends, this means that God is the only true God!
Therefore, what He says in His Word about our sins (define) and our need to believe on Jesus to save us from our sins is true!
Believe on Jesus to save you today!
Friends, this is why the song reminds us that we’re amazed by this!
Conclusion: Friends, Because God provides for His creation, we ought to sing His praises and trust Him through whatever we face!
Tomorrow we’re going to learn more about our other song, “I Believe Jesus Saves.”
